Definitely not a good school for children

Absolutely a shambles of a school if you don’t fit in with army regime then your gone they also make things up to how they want them to be not a good experience what so ever children go there to learn but let’s remind ourselves that they are children aswell

a bad review

Had a really bad experience at this school. Been through a lot, and been through a lot of GCSE stress. I feel like I'm not being accommodated properly, and that no-one understands me.

The reasons it's terrible.

They're not good at handling bullying in my personal experience. Also last year the headteacher almost got sued for putting a camera in the girls toilet to "stop vandalism and bullying" then why wasn't one also placed in the boys toilets? They're unreasonably strict and we are made to have assemblys about jesus and God even though most of the students aren't religious. You get detentions more then you get rewarded for anything good you've done. They send people to your house if your ill over 1 week. They ask for respect from students yet don't give the same level of respect. They have sexiest rules. The girls are also not allowed to wear knee high socks or skirts above their knees? Which is strange because none of the other students are bothered about what socks you wear. It's almost as if they're sexualising the fact girls are wearing knee high socks. The teachers will walk around with a face caked with makeup but if you wear some foundation to maybe cover spots or make you feel better about yourself you get told to wipe it off. I have athsma and was running in PE and couldn't breathe and they told me to just keep going. I've had anxiety attacks in school anf they don't help much at all. A autistic boy was excluded for running down the halls (when it was near his final exams) and yet there will he students who bully others relentlessly and they'll just be given a detention. You feel really pressured to do welland i don't think that's fair. To add onto this list, a boy got a detention and his break took away from him because he had a pattern cut into his hair which is absolutely ridiculous. In sex ED you don't really learn about womens 0rgasams and other things to do with woman's pleasure. You are also made to pray after assemblys to the Christian God. This is just few of the many reasons i think this school is bad.

Academy needs a review ASAP

Salaried persons need some MH training -themselves

Wow, where do we start? the child whose wrist was snapped in the enclosed toilet area? The child who was getting changed for PE and her photo got distributed around the whole school. Or, maybe the children who are penalized for their trouser length?
THIS IS THE BEST.... they do not respond to a child who has become poorly, instead, they pass the book. As for SEN, you need to work on SEMH, especially the teachers. If you want to see the Principle, forget it!! if you want to change schools, life becomes difficult. Strangled in the toilets, and a brick shot at a friend's head, you have a zoo. SORT IT OUT. Hire a clown, you get a circus. good luck in the future. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE>

Good school but must focus on mental health

The school itself is probably one of the better ones in our area. Bullying ,in my experience, was dealt with well but I know for many others it wasn't. I was part of many sports teams while here and partook in many other activities they had on offer. However I feel that more could be done for the school to be more prepared, while there well equipped for students with disabilities they only have one school councillors for 1,500 students so many students must wait a long time to talk to someone about their mental health and from personal experience I know how badly this can effect someone's learning and education. Overall, the school is a great school just needs some work on student well being.

Shambles

Strict religious beliefs which teachers attempt to pressure into students. Strict on appearances, which can cause mental health issues, due to strictness on hair length, styles, etc. Hair allows people to express themselves. No sporting teams anymore and PE teachers do not pay attention to upcoming athletes, especially those who are connected to professional sports teams. Rules are strict and most teachers genuinely do not engage students in lessons. The Principal is a sexist bigot who only cares about appearance standards and religion who also gives the strangest of punishments. Overall, a shambles of a school.

Personality drain of a school

strict rules similar to those in the army, many being very sexist and unfair, for example: no shiny shoes, straight leg trousers as to avoid sexualised views on girls, hair tied back, no makeup, no dyed hair, no hair below a grade 3 ect. there is also a lack of lgbtq education and female pleasure in the sexual education. strict christian beliefs are also pressured onto everyone regardless of their beliefs. just last week a man broke into the school and masturbated watching children play sports outside. the headteacher is also a very sexist and perverted man with bigot beliefs.

The King's

Lots of support from teachers and some important focus on careers too.

The King's

Good facilities, good teachers, lots of support, food's good, cool clubs, the house system and house cup make the year a bit more exciting too. A lot of the rules are especially strict (hair no shorter than a blade 3,cant have hair near your face, can't have hair down, low ponytails, black socks, black bobbles, certain shoes and more) but personally, I'm not really affected by them though many are. People complain about the teachers but they only see them as mean because they misbehave and subsequently get sanctioned or told off. Lots of focus in later years especially on careers and life Post-16, which is very useful.

The kings academy life of a student

It’s okay I guess but it’s far too strict like we have to have black bobbles black bags black socks we aren’t allowed our hair down and if it’s in a ponytail we aren’t allowed it too high we can’t wear shiny shoes or flats and most of the teachers are quite mean
