Crap school

The school tells you off for taking blazer off in 30c weather and doesn’t let you have your lunch until 1:00 if you don’t have your dinner card

Weak on bullying

Bullying. Plenty of it. School refuses to say anything to the bullies. Instead gas lights the victim into thinking its their fault. Used to love this school, but they are weak when it comes to actually tackling anything. Let's all where a pair of odd socks and a wristband. Post an anti-bullying message on insta and that's it solved. Lip service to an enormous problem. Until the school takes on the bullies nothing will change. Very sad

Mcauley

The school isn't a bad school but teachers aren't in control of the classroom and things like racism aren't spoken about!

YEARS later and I’m still traumatised.

This school is the worst school Ever and I still to this day cannot believe all the things that I have seen went on and personally experienced in this school. How can one such appalling school claim to be CATHOLIC? The bullying and the teachers that do absolutely NOTHING to resolve it should be checked by the city council. Racism Is VERY much real in this school, so if your black and antisocial(as I was, after moving to Doncaster from Malaysia and barley understanding how a “normal teenagers ”are in this country made me an outcast and an instant target for bullying) Trust me when I say, your going to get bullied beyond words and the teachers will actually PUNISH YOU. I can’t count the amount of times I was put in inclusion for reporting something to the teachers but the teachers taking the bully's side. I can’t deny that there has been about 3 times where I have retaliated but taking into consideration, that’s 3 out of 30 instigation, nevertheless I still take responsibility for my own action for that 3 occasions. But I still can’t forget being beaten after school by one girl who was 2 years older then me with me not knowing how to fight at that time just tried pushing her off me, went to student reception crying straight after she got off me and next day comes, I’m the one in inclusion?? Honestly no one helped me in this school, and the worst thing is, these bullies comes up with fake allegations that the teachers take on, with NO EVIDENCE, just because the bullies that complain have a bigger group vs my statement; one person. I’m 18 now, I’m doing great and currently on apprenticeship for policing in Greater Manchester, I have grown far from the way this school treated me and realised that not everyone is the way this school is, barley mind since this is the first school i ever been in since moving country, I was excited when I first joined but left with disappointment. No regards to mental health, no help to someone who’s clearly struggling with suicidal thoughts due to the school situation, honestly I still think back to this school and I’m glad I didn’t take my own life for all the stuff that has went on!!
Reading the comment preciously to this I guess years later IT STILL HASN’T CHANGED!

As a student this is BAD

Listen, I used to attend this school I hated every minute at this school I never got treat fairly I was a top student at the start but they never motivated me to do anything I was bullied and was never getting any support from staff I couldn’t talk to anyone as there was ‘bigger issues’ according to the teachers and I had to fight for them to stop I kept on trying to get help but however many times I tried there was always kids ‘more important’ and they always helped everyone except from the top performers the teachers never seemed bothered to help anyone and only was there because they had to be overall I would never come back there.

Mcauleys truth

This school claims to deal with bullying and hate of all kinds, however mcauley catholic high school does no such thing, the students at mcauley whom face this hate deal with it on their own because the teachers cannot properly deal with those students that put out hate. The fact that many students are dealing with mental issues and the school is no properly accepting of these students is atrocious and wrong.

A bit naff

Every day is made hell, they make you dread every day of your life that you go there. Lessons are boring and painful to attend. It is a genuine waste of time attending this school

McAuley “Catholic” Hell School

Made some friends and fond memories, outside of the fact the school was going downhill in front my own eyes, as soon as Mrs Brown the head teacher left it all end t down hill when they brought John Rooney in, he was creepy and found him uncomfortable, teachers from academies such as outwood and astrea came in, and made my life a living hell in that school, now do not get me wrong, I found teachers I will never find again in that school, comes to a minority of 4 from my 5 years there, the rest (that I had encountered) were horrible people, you could tell in what was said they were homophobic, slightly racist, didn’t care about SEN,took themselves and their job too seriously or were just selfish horrible people, to think for a Catholic school, being an Irish Catholic myself, I know the morals and they were definitely not there, to top it all off, I have achieved so much in sport and given so much to my community when it comes to those of underprivileged in sports, doing volunteer work in sports coaching across South Yorkshire, and however a child beat me in an outstanding effort in sports award (which is the most prestige in the school) simply because he was strong in all subjects Maths, science, English etc. Top flight student, however since he was part of the ping pong club he won, where as I have multiple world, European, British, Irish and English championships in Martial Arts, play academy Rugby, have qualifications in all fields of playing, training and coaching areas of sports, and is currently being watched by the University of Ulster for my academic studies to be there, however since some other kid gets better graded than me, simply because I’m for 1 dyspraxic and have less of a privileged lifestyle than him, he gets praise for something so minimal, he also took awards from people in Maths, Languages and Duke of Edinburgh, he even apologised to me as he himself said that he believed that I and other people deserved the awards, as well as minimal opportunity for sports and other fields, in school we had the Table tennis club or football club or girls rounders and that was it, showed how much they valued students, they didn’t, all they cared about were the numbers you get before you leave, to make themselves look better

McAuley Review

It's an alright school but majority teachers tend to do nothing about bullies and students being bullied and certain teachers deal with situations in a bad way. Some also tell you off, for sticking up for someone just because they personally like the other child better
