positives of this school: the education is to a good standard although it could be better they provide breakfast and lunch the facilities are good negatives of the school: some teachers are barely in the school such as some teachers are in and out of school letting supply teachers cover their shifts the food is expensive for what it is, and there is not much variety of foods bathrooms are unhygienic the school pays for things such as new roofing but then can’t put for a school pack at the start of the year with all the necessities for example in year 10 they introduced it because students didn’t have the correct equipment although when it came to year 11 we didn’t get a new pack the headteacher always uses the excuse of ‘you lost education because of covid’ just so we can’t have fun times such as at christmas it was like tradition to have a half day and do fun christmas activities but he forced it into usual schoolwork and a full day. as a year 11 there has been minimal support for GCSEs i’ve asked multiple occasions for a place to revise in brakes but nothing has been said. the mental health facilities are so bad counselling has to be one of the worst if you want any ADHD or autism files sorted out it will take months ive been waiting since before christmas and now it is may, still waiting for them to fill out one easy form overall this school is decent but there’s better schools around

This school is an absolute dumpster fire. Throughout the entire 5 years I have attended and I feel unsafe, they have a “zero tolerance to hate crime policy” but they do absolutely nothing when actually handling those situations and will pass off the bigotry, homophobia, racism, etc. as something acceptable, I’ve tried to report homophobia targeted at me and other peers before and was told that “students have a right to their own opinion.” And other times my reports have been ignored. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE I CANNOT STRESS THIS E N O U G H. Even if you’re not a minority student, the bullying and the constant mockery that never gets dealt with is appalling. I am barely coping with the pressure that I am under and this school has sent my mental health to the pits, had to go to counselling multiple times. I hate it here. A child got strangled and he passed out because of it here and the person who did it only got a temporary exclusion, THEY WERE LET BACK ON SITE AFTER HE CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED THEY ARE A THREAT. It is NOT safe here. Please consider another option for your child’s secondary school for the sake of their wellbeing.

My mental state went completely downhill and now have to get actual therapy from chams and the NHS.

I just hate this school and everything about it. Don't send your child here if you want their mental state to stay in check because it destroyed my child's mental health and now has to deal with nervous breakdowns.

You always get bullied and all of the teachers that work there. They don't care if you have got injured by other students. They say that they will try to stop all the bullying and all members of staff just sit on their bottoms and do nothing about the bullying issues. NEVER GO TO NATIONAL STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CHILD TO GET HURT OR BULLIED. All members of staff just have a little bit of telling off but the staff try not to talk to the bullies parents about their kids. Every kid gets threatened by all members of staff and other kids. Don't have a meeting with the headteacher because he knows nothing about bullying or anything. All members of staff won't let you go to furneals or weddings or anything else with your family.
