The Old Hall School

Once an amazing and stunning school, children had competitive nature but also gracious when things didn't go their way. Once a family orientated school, but the school has unfortunately been turned upside down, lacks drive, become so risk averse and making changes without communicating. Teachers and parents unaware of directions being set that are ultimately damaging the core values of the school.

School has become a put up and shut up mentality.

No consideration to the unrepairable damage it is having on its young learners and parents.

Lots has happened in the past year but come on,... now restricting children taking birthday treats into school and removing the children's rights to play the nations favourite sport at play time!!!

Marketing will have you believe "You will have chosen education without boundaries or ceilings" and provide endless opportunities, they say!!! But kids don't bother taking a football into school, as school says noooo!! and if you require your child to sit an 11+?

You might as well get a new out of school tutor on speed dial. As verbal and non verbal reasoning has been removed from the core educational offering delivered by the school.

So, if you're a current parent, you may or may not know this already, so please prepare accordingly.

If you are a prospective parent, make sure you are asking the right questions when visiting and making you school decisions.

The school motto:
"Utor non abutor" I use, I do not abuse - it is a real shame how the school and school community is currently being ripped apart by the level of change and manor in which change is been undertaken.

Hopefully the governors will do their due diligence, provide oversight and address the issues accordingly. Staff and pupil attrition is at an all time high.
