Should be called HMP OAN because it’s more like a prison
This school is absolutely shocking! Keep your kids when they aren’t well with the promise they are going to ring parents and then don’t bother. They have the doors locked so kids can’t get out of the building. They don’t let your child use the toilet even when they have their period which results into them bleeding through. Absolutely disgusting and unless you want your kids treating like dirt I wouldn’t bother sending them here. They also leave your child off the fire register so if there is a fire they wouldn’t have even known whether my child was still in the building or not! Also a call off our GP didn’t help with better treatment of my child. Diabolical school!
Extreme Bullying
Wouldn’t even give this one star but I have to in order for this review to be posted , absolutely rancid school. Friend of a friend gets bullied here and the school does f*** all to help it, poor child comes home with bruises these children are vile. Would not send my child here disgusting how you can let a child go through that treatment and do nothing to help. Will try to take this matter further as it’s appalling and the safeguarding team should learn how to deal with issues throughly, if you cant protect children what’s the point of becoming a teacher

The effect of this secondary school: you get hated on for nothing, teachers do nothing about. They re-hire shitty staff who performed HATE CRIME towards Muslim students. Teachers being unfair towards students no one cares. Students actually defending themselves they get isolation. My point is this school doing NOTHING to keep you safe and the safeguarding team is full of racists. These students are unhappy. This school is HORRIBLE. Teachers leave and students are left with covers for weeks. They mess about. Isolation for actually speaking up? Nah that’s crazy. GET BETTER. Miss Giraud your failing.

The way my school makes me sad
I get bullied , get accused

This school is filled with undisciplined children, children here think it’s okay to make social media accounts and bully other children about their appearance, this is all due to the staff member, as teachers give out detention for minor violations, such as being late, this then results in children doing whatever they like as they know they’ll just get a detention as discipline. The children are then used to this and treat detention as an extra curricular. If I’m being completely honest I wouldn’t recommend sending your children here, children here have no sense of urgency in how their words effect other children, teachers hear this and choose to ignore. If you want a depressed child, send them to Oldham academy north.
Two Faced Staff
I’m a student here,and it’s fun to be in with great education. The teachers aren’t who they seem to be. They’re lying all the time for example Miss Quinn,she’s Islamophobic and she tries hiding it by making a “prayer room”
And every time there’s people coming in school to take pictures,the teachers always include a disabled student in hopes of making a better image for this joke of a school.
In year 8 currently and it’s a pity to see grown adults try to lie to everyone😂

Horrible
In my opinion this school is very horrible the teachers are horrible and will not listen to you at all not only this a teacher was racist here and did not permit students to pray in the school and forced them to pray outside in the cold not only that the school try to sugarcoat things with horrible ‘rewards’ and fail to see the real problem.
Pretty average
Not the best school in oldham and not the worst school in oldham, it's plain average
