Rubbish school.
Honestly this school has had such a downfall the past few years. When my child first came up to the Romsey School it had a lovely environment and focused on the importance of school itself. Now it is, and quoted by many parents and students “A prison” First of all i’d like to speak about the ridiculous uniform policy! My daughter has received multiple detentions for things like a top button which is really silly considering even some staff dont wear it done up. It is uncomfortable and unnecessary. My daughter hasnt been to some of these detention and is now being thrown in after-school detentions with the threat of “being removed from lessons” if she doesn’t attend even though the school seems to be all about getting the students into lessons no matter what circumstances. This leads to my next point. My child has been in tears at school and still sent to her classes with no support. We are all human are children can get stressed and overwhelmed too they are growing teens. My 3rd point is there absolutely ridiculous phone policy. My child got seen by her head teacher with her phone in her pocket instead of her bag. She was then demanded to hand over her phone OVERNIGHT to the school for absolutely no reason. She wasnt breaking the mobile phone policy as she wasnt using it. It was just in her pocket instead of her bag. My child didnt follow threw with this and hand over her phone so they proceeded to suspend her. My child feels targeted by the teachers and it seems as if there are trying to pick out everything she can possibly do wrong and completely ignore all her positive actions.

i have never known such a terrible school. after not attendance school due to being suspended about 15 times my daughter finally decided to come back end of year 8. the lack of support was terrible and was sent to be in the nest on a”pathway” for SIX MONTHS. recently with no communication to me she has been sent to lessons with random teachers without knowing reasons and anything about her. whilst being in the nest the school still ended up suspended her numerous times and the support levels where terrible. all of the male teachers are absolutely disgusting and wink and sexualise the poor girls in romsey school. i do not recommended this school to anyone who have needs. not only that but the uniform rules and ban on mobile phones is mind blowing. what’s the big deal with a rolled up skirt and a top button un done ?!?!!? never in my life shall i suggest or recommend this school to anyone.

Absolutely appalled by this school. What gives grown men the right the yell at my 13 year old daughter? Causing her to cry and skip her lessons because she’s to frightened of the teachers. Not only are the teachers unnecessarily strict, the school rules are to. The phone rule ‘See it, hear it, lose it’ rule is absolutely ridiculous. Telling my child they have to hand the phone over and get it back on the following school day. With zero protection and could easily get stolen. My child has experienced assault by a teacher at this school that had been picking on her for months. This teacher grabbed my child’s arm and forcefully dragged her off another student when they were play fighting. Left a bruise on her arm.. This school constantly targets my daughter for her uniform and gives her countless detentions for things that are simply not fair. Detentions should only be set for poor behaviour, not some silly uniform error. Don’t recommend this school many parents agree that this school is not right for their child.
Toilets and the canteen food
They closed all the toilets except 2 ( one for the girls and one for the boys) because of “vandalism” when nothing ever gets vandalised. Also the food isn’t great

Not fit for vulnerable children.
My child's experience of this school was catastrophic. I had been warned not to send my child there by another parent, who had been forced to withdraw their child. They told me that the school failed badly in its duty of care, particularly where there were any special educational needs involved. I ignored this warning and during their time there, my child reported a catalogue of incidences whereby they both witnessed bullying and prejudicial behaviour towards other children by children (including towards a child with a physical disability), and found themself the target of the extreme extent of such behaviour. The response of the school's leadership was denial and victim-blaming.
There is a distinct culture of vulnerable children being thrown in the deep end and being expected to sink or swim, whereas, bullies are deemed worthy of understanding and gentle treatment.
I would warn any parent to think very carefully before considering this school for their child, unless they are high achieving and teflon coated - most children are not.

Horrible please don't send your kids there
As a student there as of now I can tell you its absolutely horrible. The teachers only really care about school uniform and not you, they give you detentions for little things like trying to get help from a student which means to talk in lesson that's a detention, when your late but you have a pretty good reasonable reason for being late that's a detention etc I just can't wait until I leave.
Not a good experience
As a former student, I can tell you now that this school was absolutley terrible, I was bullied throughout and I told teachers several times and they did absolutley nothing. And they suggest that there is a no bullying policy. The teachers were good. However, the food in the canteen is expensive and not even very nice. The lessons were never engaging. They give detentions for the tiniest of things and it's just not somewhere where I'd personally send my children.
Worst school (do not send ur kids here)
Horrible, horrible school i was only there for 7 months, my first month there a girl got a chair thrown at her and forced to move DOWN a year so she wasnt bullied by other students. While i was there i was bullied for 4 months by other students AND teachers. I use to leave school grounds and no one eould notice for hours. Students there bullied me so much that all the school did was PUT ME IN ISOLATION "for my own saftey" yet wouldnt it of made sense to put the bullies in there also while i was in there "CRYING" a teacher yelled at me for crying and leaning on her wall which is insane that school is horrible caused me trauma. The buildings here were small and most teachers were lazy the only good thing about this school was its food.
