The Ruth Gorse Academy

If I knew what this school was like I would have never come here. This school doesn't care about your mental health all they care about is the grade you get for your GCSE's so they look good. Two of my friends got isolation for something that happened in the bathroom. How do the school know what happened? They have camera"s in there. Yes, there is members of staff on duty outside the toilets but when the incident happened, there was no staff members outside the toilets at that point. Now, everytime I need to go toilet I wait until I get home. I don't feel okay when I walk into there. Also there was another incident which involved me and it really effected me and made me wanna cry. When I reported it, they said "You don't look effected by it so you should be fine." Another incident happened last year with this girl and after I reported it they gave her the smallest punishment you could be given; a comment. Thats it. A comment. After she tried to hit me. My mum has called the school so many times for so many different reasons. They don't care about what happens unless it makes them look bad or involves them. Don't come here, they don't care. The only good things about this school is the big range of after school clubs and the few nice teachers they have. Thats the only good things I have to say.

I went to this school it is horrible the achoo is t strict and u get into trouble for anything like if ur shirt is not tucked in if you need toilet or anything normal I didn’t know you need to ask for the toilet .but on the bright side it has reward and stuff.and they always say ur not the first here you are not gonna change the rules

Absolutely horrible. Don't ever attend this school and don't send your kids here. They are spewing a bunch of lies about "caring about students", the staff are extremely rude and are the definition of two-faced. Year teams won't do anything if anyone commits a hate crime and they'll put you in isolation for the smallest things ever. I got shouted at by a teacher just because I wore makeup, bare in mind, she had a full face of makeup on.

They make it look like a prison you do one little thing isolation once tried to kick me out because I was getting bullied and they was doing nothing about it so me and the other student got into a fight in the playground

Amazing school happy students and fun trips

This school needs to be fully investigated! And @ofsted should look for REAL ASSESSMENTS FROM STUDENTS. I am mentally tired and drained. Teachers are bullies. Your word stands for nothing. I keep receiving comments that lead to detentions even if my questions are related to the subject. I want to go to school and feels like a prison. Please someone help! Im here since year 7 year 10 now. I dont know if I can hold more time like this.

I used to go to that school its very decent and the food is alright but one problem i have is the amount of negative comments being tossed around like money. I used to have the most nicest form tutor and i left years ago. All the people in that school who i still have contact with tell me lots on how the school has changed. I have a younger sister who told me about the horrible students when she used to go aswell.I still am in contact with those people who i mentioned who still go ruth. I never have seen rudest and bullyin in that school. NO hard feelins. the teachers are amazing tbh.

This is school is so bad DON'T COME HERE! some teachers are racist half of the students are racist. when someone says something racist such as saying the n word the teachers does NOTHING. Me as a black person i have faced racism in this school by a teacher. People make fun of me just because i'm pansexual. People make fun of me and call me the "Chinese wannabe" just because i like k-pop. white Teachers think its acceptable to say a slur such as the p slur and the n word just because it was in a reading book. I'm in year 8 and i wish i never came! thanks for reading this.༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

Shittest school ever, do not go here, totally do no recommend to people wanting to go there. It is biased, and it exploits the kids and pick on them in order to receive money. They do this in order to give negative comments which gives them money. Does not even deserve a one star. Fuck this school, I can't believe I still go here.
