Gone massively downhill and SEND department too overstretched to provide required help- pastoral and Head of Year poor too. Behaviour impacts on students who want to learn
As a former GCSE student I believe, after the new headteacher there has been a severe decline in the arts and the behaviour, misbehaving students are getting away with more and are facing less punishments, maybe due to their lack of care for the repeated punishment. Overall not very satisfactory. Nearing the end of my time at Sweyne I had lost all motivation to study, often rare in a typically good student. This could possibly die to the lack of motivation given from staff, or the “bad vibes” given off by the school I’m general. Also, when revising for the GCSE’s I felt I was very behind on many subjects specifically due to the teaching. I commonly found that subjects hadn’t been covered enough or some parts were completely left out. However there were those few teachers, who helped me through a bad school day, who truly knew the best ways of teaching, and who have allowed me to gain amazing marks.
Its amazing school.
I'm in year 10 and in the covid pandemic been hard but my teachers are also there. My form tutor gave me something of his own money to help my stress a punching bag.
Every lesson is great and teachers are too, food in the cantee can be better an cheaper but its good over well and in some lesson people are very noise but the teachers control then great in total
it’s a good school, the majority of the teachers are helpful and not too strict. it’s a decent sized school so there’s a lot of classrooms so there aren’t to many people packed into a room and they can have enough sets to help people with different abilities in a subject i think it’s a pretty good school
