Bullying that is not being dealt with
The Westgate School in Slough is renowned for its reputation to NOT DEAL WITH CHILDREN THAT ARE BEING BULLIES OR HARASSED. The teacher dealing with this is rude, condescending and does not help at all . They Do Not suspend the bullies or call them out - they make out the person who is being bullied is to blame. The heads need to get MORE INVOLVED and the school committee and council need to take Action Before a child hurts themselves.

for free school meals you can now only get certain things, when this happens students probably starve themselves.

Don’t come to Westgate
They do nothing for bullying my sister got bullied for 4 years straight and did nothing about until my parents said that they will call OFSTED about them they only care about their reputation and not what goes on in their school

Good school, my son goes there. Not as good as when my nephew attended there over 10 years ago but the facilities are modern, unfortunately the good teaching staff have left and the senior management aren’t very professional as the hardcore oldies that came before them. A French teacher named Marianne Goffard was more interested in selling her artwork to students than teach French. I attended a parents evening and she was showing all the parents her Oval glass or marble works that hang on walls than to talk about my sons rather poor performance with languages.

I would just say dont send your child to this school as there is 100 percent chance your child is getting bullied

Bullying
I hate this school. The level of bullying and discussion that happens is horrific. I’m a trans student and the amount of isolation i put up with is appalling.
My opinion
The education is decent I guess. Canteen is horrible. Most of the staff are horrible. Pastoral are horrible do nothing for your problems. They out LGBT kids and do nothing for LGBT issues. don't do much for bulling. Expect you to give them respect when they give you none. better than some schools . Do better Westgate
DO NOT GO
The Westgate school is not a place to go to for the next five years if you care about your mental health. They expect you all to act the same and behave the same and I can confidently say there were only 3 teachers who honestly cared. Some of the teachers were rude whilst others were just out of order. Food is okay but hygiene is terrible. Unless you are perfect the school will ruin your mental health to the point where you just stop going. DO NOT GO TO THE WESTGATE SCHOOL!!1

Westgate School
As a school it’s okay. Most teachers truly love their job and try their best to help the students. I think that a few of the newer staff are not so good though. The canteen is POOR with a very rude chef who when challenged about poor hygiene shouts down students. The food is terrible too , it’s needs to change.
Former student review
As a former student, I would say this school has its ups and downs. The food/canteen was poor with rude staff working there. When ever the chef was challenged about poor hygiene he would shout down the student and refuse refund. The teachers push you to do your best but some seem not to care and are just in it for the salary and holiday. The sports facilities are good but some parts of the school are run down and could do with maintenance.
