Horrendous
My child was being hit and bullied every single day and had to be sent to the nurse almost every day. When she told me, she said she was scared to tell me because they said they would kill her if they did and that they all carry knives, do drugs and vape/smoke. I told the school about it and they said that they couldn't do anything to stop it and you had to expect these things to happen. It's quite frankly horrible and appealing. My child has now been taken out of there and I'm homeschooling her. She's far better off and I'd convince you to move your child school from here.
Winsford academy need to sort themselves out
This school is stupid do not send your kids there today people were trying to fight someone and the best they could do was put everyone outside and wouldn’t let people in they just give up with kids that have problems and will suspend kids without telling there parents why so just to worn you do not send your kid there my grades have dropped from year 6-7 and now I’m in 8 like it’s horrendous I get sent out for no reason like what is this school it needs to be shut down and separated again

Teachers are shocking dont deal with bullys but then soon as ur child defends there self they get kicked out of school 4 a few days they never ring you back when you ring up and they always ignore most emails .. my son was ragged about by a teacher n they said it was the correct action to take at the time As my child was in a fight with bully ! I have the video but yet they say the cctv (yet again) doesn't show the teacher touching my child !! School is absolutely horrible and how off stead keep that school open is beyond me i feel for all the children in that school who have to deal with bullys for teachers who think there better than every1 !!!!

Horrible school with horrible teachers
The school itself is nothing short from disgraceful! The teachers talk to children as they were something off the bottom of their shoe. They tease and follow students around the school. And sometimes even swear at them and call them nasty names! I got permanently excluded from the school because apparently I was an ‘animal’ they made fun of my height and don’t do anything about bullying. They don’t care about the students and don’t care if somebody is being bullied. I repeatedly got excluded for days because I told a teacher that they have no right to speak to me like they did. They called me psychotic and told me that I have ADHD and autism even though it wasn’t confirmed. Sometimes the teachers even block students from going into certain areas. If a student is crying they will walk pass them and do nothing. I was sat at attendance sobbing because they didn’t help me. I waited 3 hours! And I had covid. One time I didn’t want to go into IEU because one of my bullies were there. Mr trueman then locked me in a small dark room unsupervised for 2 hours! When he came back all he did was shout at me and physically pushed me.
Not to good of a school
The Winsford Academy hardly had any classes where the students felt happy to go to because they had really bad anxiety going to them or something had happened between them and someone else in the same class. Another thing is the attendance office if you were ill you would go down to the attendance office and all they would do is give you a paracetamol and tell you to go back to class even if you were physically sick in front of them or had been off for a couple of days prior to that you would still be given a paracetamol and told to go back to lesson. The only decent thing about that school is SOME of the teachers not even all of them because some of them were not very nice to their students.
The Winsford Academy review.
The communication from the people who support those who need extra help was poor. There was a very small amount of classes that people actually learnt alot from resulting in very unbalanced GCSE grades. Alot of students were capable of so much more but we pretty much had to go home and re-teach ourselves everything before even considering revision. The way that everyone finds that they're no longer struggling mentally once they leave high school says alot about how the curriculum needs to change. This school is most definitely one of them.
