Don’t go here

Do not send your child here if they have any kind of additional needs, the school doesn’t have the means to support the children, the head teacher has been overheard to say “dyslexia isn’t a thing they are just lazy spellers” and the attendance officer things like “you can’t have anxiety your too happy” to other students. Total lack of understanding.

Homophobic staff - disgusting behaviour

Student support is average, grades are generally quite good.

My girlfriend and I (Female) were walking through the school building during break time, holding hands I may add, this may seem normal for girls right? Well we are a well known couple among my year group.

This teacher, (who I will not name for the sake that I hope these types of situations may be discussed in meetings, or he would just have some common sense) pulled my girlfriend and I into his office, he started lecturing us about how being a homosexual was wrong, I tried to stand up for myself by explaining we are not causing any profanities or problems to anyone around us, and that living who we love is natural.

By this point the teacher was getting aggressive and pretty rude towards us. Eventually, my girlfriend got up and left, in tears, and I followed after her. He told me that after the Easter break, he said, and I quote, ‘meet me in my office after school on Monday, I want to show you how much better a man can treat you than I woman’

I am disgusted beyond words can describe and I am petrified about what is going to happen to me after Easter.

I have already reported this situation to the school, yet I have no reply, I am extremely ashamed and disgusted by this behaviour.

Homophobia amongst staff :/

School generally supports students, helps them get a good education, but, the staff members are extremely homophobic. My girlfriend and I (female) were holding hands whilst walking through the school building during break, this could seem relatively normal for girls right? Well we are a pretty well known couple around our year group. One staff member comes up to us and barges my girlfriend to the wall, takes her into his office, and when she came out she looked petrified, I decided to question the staff member and he said, ‘Look here kid, you and your disgusting gay ass self can fuck off out of my school’ and he simply walked away. We reported this incident to the school, but no feedback, now nothing done to handle the situation. I’m honestly disgusted and ashamed.

Don’t bother. Go to Woking high

Do not come here. You can come expecting grades 7-9 but end up achieving 4s and 5s. I’ll admit specific teachers are lovely and can teach really well but sadly most the good teachers leave. The head teacher puts off most decent staff members from coming and causes many teachers to leave. Not many of the teaching staff like her as she is controlling and narcissistic. Average grades in certain core subjects at gcse level are around grade 3-4 for students who should be getting grades 7-8. The school cannot organise themselves. Food is appauling and there have been times people have been served raw chicken from the canteen on several occasions. Overall the place is Germy and not cleaned properly at all. They imply ridiculous rules which are not consistent and are very unfair on who gets punished and who doesn’t and they don’t seem to care either.

As a parent I would avoid

I am a parent. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Whilst there are some really good, experienced teachers, they are too few and far between and often leave. Staff turnover is high. Their general approach to learning and management of pupils is with a stick not a carrot. The head teacher’s letters to parents strike of someone who is angry and unhappy with the school / students / parents much of the time, with no desire to work with parents as a team (though will write it into letters when help is needed by parents) and actually has no interest in encouraging children but takes a primarily punitive approach to everything. My heart sinks when I see a communication from the school as generally it’s a moan about the children, the parents or the government. Utterly depressing and unprofessional.

No one cares at the school

The school is horrible it looks like a prison and feels like one . The teachers don't care about your physical or mental health . The anti bullying committee does nothing . The headteacher is horrible to all the students and makes them feel like they don't want to be there anymore.and the food is disgusting I got a chicken burger that was raw in the middle .

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I would not recommend this school to anyone, they do not do anything about bullying, even the teachers bully students, honestly the worst school I’ve ever been to, they care more about your grades then mental health, wellness and safety,

Teachers? Hardly

I'm not afraid to say that some of the teachers at this school do not actually care if a student feels safe in or outside of the school nor do they care for the students well-being in any case. Another thing i would like to state is that they seem to only be supportive of those who are above others academically already and the students that need a little extra help in their learning are being pushed lower and that is disgusting behavior, they should be ashamed of themselves and their handling of this global pandemic is not up to standards either, not only are the students outraged by this but the parents/ carers are too. It's just simply not okay.

What they do care about is setting an example for other schools? Well, looks like they're not doing to great at that either hm?. Another thing i would like to state is they seem to only be supportive to those who are ahead of others academically already and push those who are having a difficult time even lower, its disgusting behavior really, they should be ashamed of themselves and the handling of this global pandemic at the moment is absolutely frowned upon not only by the students but the parents/carers too.

trans

really unhelpful for trans or nb people, will get dragged into a weird office and they start talking about changing your name on the register even tho you didn’t ask or even talk to them about it, they attempted to like therapise me and pretended to be all helpful which was very strange because they never talk to me cuz i’m not a naughty kid

Uncaring towards student body

The teachers with power at the school only care about attendance and uniform, they are ashamed of those who aren't already top students. The only people who try to help people with mental or learning disabilities are caring, lower down teachers or student services group who are stopped by either the head or so-called 'wellbeing leader'. It is a shameful school. Their handling of a pandemic is also disgusting, especially compared to other local schools.

bad teachers

teachers dont care about students well-being they pretend to but when it actually comes to it the teachers will still force students into school no matter how unsafe they feel apart from mrs cotter she is a legend and is the only teacher who cares about students feelings all the other teachers only care about correct uniform and appropriate piercings and student attendance

bad teachers

Teachers do not care about well-being as long as your in school having correct uniform and not having piercings they could not care less. they do not care if your child feels unsafe in school you will still have to send your child because theyre all donkeys especially the head
