The Winston Churchill School A Specialist Sports College

Academically a good school with lots of sports and afterschool clubs. However bullying is a big problem with local boys and girls in groups targeting individuals with verbal , physical and even sexual harassment. The school try to do as much as they can but these types of kids don’t learn because they have never been disciplined in any other school setting or even home. Bullying and harassment should be monitored carefully and advice ask the school about how they tackle bullying the patterns they look before you consider your child going there .

I'm not afraid to say that this school is an absolute shit hole. The headteacher has a weird dictatorship going on in the school and allegedly at her old school before joining Winston Churchill would check teenage girls BRAS to see if they had there phones in there, and it's clear that she has transferred this energy into this school by abusing students with strict uniform policy like not being able to have a CHOICE to wear their jumpers which is an optional item of the school uniform. Obviously, there are many amazing teachers but unfortunately they leave and I can't blame them. The headteacher once called my friend stupid after running away from her in the hallway which clearly says two things about this school: 1. Students are afraid of their own headteacher in a so called safe environment. 2. She is not kind to her students whatsoever

staff members do not support students unless they are straight white males.

Student support is average, grades are generally quite good. My girlfriend and I (Female) were walking through the school building during break time, holding hands I may add, this may seem normal for girls right? Well we are a well known couple among my year group. This teacher, (who I will not name for the sake that I hope these types of situations may be discussed in meetings, or he would just have some common sense) pulled my girlfriend and I into his office, he started lecturing us about how being a homosexual was wrong, I tried to stand up for myself by explaining we are not causing any profanities or problems to anyone around us, and that living who we love is natural. By this point the teacher was getting aggressive and pretty rude towards us. Eventually, my girlfriend got up and left, in tears, and I followed after her. He told me that after the Easter break, he said, and I quote, ‘meet me in my office after school on Monday, I want to show you how much better a man can treat you than I woman’ I am disgusted beyond words can describe and I am petrified about what is going to happen to me after Easter. I have already reported this situation to the school, yet I have no reply, I am extremely ashamed and disgusted by this behaviour.

School generally supports students, helps them get a good education, but, the staff members are extremely homophobic. My girlfriend and I (female) were holding hands whilst walking through the school building during break, this could seem relatively normal for girls right? Well we are a pretty well known couple around our year group. One staff member comes up to us and barges my girlfriend to the wall, takes her into his office, and when she came out she looked petrified, I decided to question the staff member and he said, ‘Look here kid, you and your disgusting gay ass self can fuck off out of my school’ and he simply walked away. We reported this incident to the school, but no feedback, now nothing done to handle the situation. I’m honestly disgusted and ashamed.
