Do not recommend

The Wren school is a woke school where there is a weak leadership and no discipline, low attainment of pupils.
Teachers busy running around pandering & spoiling pupils all day.....

My children’s experience at the wren

The Wren school in Reading is an absolutely horrible school the teacher set a bad example, for all the students they make you do dance bare foot on the unclean floors saying if you don’t take of your socks that will be an hour detention even when students have come up with alternatives like grip socks or just wearing your shoes, but apparently socks and shoes are a safety hazard and cannot be worn out but they haven’t said anything about the grip socks. Children have be hit in the face with a book by a teacher and have pull kids out the class room by there bags or coats. This is not the example I want my kids to learn from and I hope parents don’t send there kids to this horrible school.

Wrath of an angered parent

This school was great until the former head teacher left the school allowing Excalibur to recommend the head teacher (Mr Salberg) (big mistake) . The school changing rules in which the reason i sent my child to the Wren. The year 8, 7 and 9 in this school not being in sets. On top on all of that there is only one qualified Religious study's teacher my child being taught by an unqualified one, also the school only has one graphics teacher (most of the year 9 applying for graphics) and seems not to be making any effort overall to hiring a graphics teacher.

Bad school

The teachers I don’t know where to start with them they are bad doesn’t know there code of conduct, doesn’t know there limits on how to treat the children if you want respect you have to earn it not get given it
Some teachers are racist and the students their also racist, homophobic, sexist and don’t know how to treat the school. The sports facilities are good they just need more money for equipment but overall the school is 2/10

The wren

Certain members of staff at this school completely ignore simple morals and promote racism and homophobia. They fail to do anything about fights or rivalries and there is also a lack of basic discipline for those who are ‘special’

overall, good school

depending on the teacher, issues are dealt with well and they try to resolve all situations to ensure all students are comfortable. many teachers are leaving/have left meaning there's a potential lack of staff

Horrible

Full of homophobic, racist, ableist pupils who bully others for their backgrounds and looks. Teachers are disrespectful and in no way to control what happens to their students when issues occur. If you want your child to have a good secondary experience THIS IS NOT THE SCHOOL.
