Toxic, racist environment where mental health goes to die
Toxic environment where any student who is not rich or white is bullied, ignored and brushed aside. Extremely toxic environment where the school rewards the “cliques”encouraging the separation of the children and hostility towards each other. Sexual harassment and racism is a common occurrence with no consequence. Thornden is a school that only cares about its image and will cover up any allegations to present themselves as one of the best schools in Hampshire. I was a former student and when comparing my experience with friends from other secondary schools in the area they are shocked to listen to what I have to say about this school.

Why is it a black child is violently abused in a school and teachers or the head of the school are not held accountable? Are these so called professionals above the law or are their veins filled with racism?
How do they sleep at night? Knowing that they colluded with cowards whose parents are not fit to raise children if they should be called children. What goes around comes around maybe the local government should consider what kind of educators they support, and for the bullies know this every animal has its day.To the staff of Thornden school in Hampshire shame on you, if you are able to feel this emotion!

Pretty decent
Good school education is good and most teachers are nice but school has a problem with bullying and homophobia i think something more needs to be done and more needs to be done about teacher strictness and homework should be a day extension if you are honest about forgetting it as i have memory issues and struggled with getting homework in on time getting me loads of detentions

Terrible school that ignores bullying and racism. Actual physical assaults are more or less ignored and there is an atmosphere of fear at this school.
Do not address bullying.
Experience of different nephew’s and nieces attending over the last 15 years has shown Thornden school does not address bullying and racial name calling. Swept under the carpet and even ignored when it happens in plain sight of staff.
Thornden
This school is not the best but has some good features, I wouldn’t say it’s anything special but it is an ok experience. The one thing I feel is wrong, is that they just don’t care that much about our mental health and weather we are ok. And also it feels like only a couple teachers actually care about us, like we are actually people not just things to teach.

The education is good but bullying and discrimination is ignored and the teachers don’t care. The teachers dismiss racism and homophobia and transphobia etc.
perpetuation of r*pe culture
i’m not sure if this is just a teacher thing in general but they always seemed to want power over the students. Also the staff did not deal with sexual harassment and assault when it happen and just swept it under the rug. the education side of it was good though.
Amazing school
Great school, staff are very supportive and helpful. They take everyone’s concerns seriously and do something about them. Also a amazing SEN support . A great overall atmosphere
