if your looking to move your child here, please read. 🙏🏼

Honestly, as a student here i find this school appalling. They promote support with posters and assembly’s yet shows 0 care, and disregards students when they turn for help, mentally or physically. Trinity is full of bully’s and there are so many fights which make me and most students feel unsafe walking around in a school that were supposed to feel comfortable in. They show 0 respect to students, shouting at them with little care on how it would make them feel, you’re supposed to discipline, i get that- but the teachers have a serious power problem, and sometimes lay their hands on your child, as a threat. i feel as if they put up the posters of how they support mental health just as they put on a happy face and pretend everything is normal when ofsted come along. And they say at the beginning of each year/ term, that one single piercing and little jewellery is aloud, yet you get send to isolation if your jewellery is a tad bit from their liking. I do NOT recommend this school, it will destroy your child in many ways, mentally and again- fights are a massive problem here. they send the kids to isolation for a few days and they come back out and do the same thing again. i feel unsafe and when i grow old and have kids, this is the last place i would send them to. The canteen prices are pretty bad too. £2.45 for a slice of pizza is just silly in my opinion, when i was in year 7, they were at least 70p. the price range is awful. and the same meals are provided most days, wether they are soggy or dry. (not appealing in any way). The sports activities are poor in my opinion. There is no encouragement and if there is, it will lack any enthusiasm, and the ranges between after school sport activities are very little.

Odk

Not good

👎👎👎 Not good just get treated terrible and get parked for no reason completely, they dont care for mental health and are so unaware of bullying. You cannot wear jewellery, coloured hair or even simply take ur jumper off without permission in boiling weather. The food isnt good neither is the service!! They care more about your looks and representing the school than basic learning. Fail a test and you have failed your whole of school life program, absolutely a Disgrace! If you have a learning Disability you are hidden away in the unit from any socialising and if you are able to "roam free" then you will get embarrassed or shouted at for 'inappropriate' things, recently they added a hall pass. Im so disappointed and ashamed of this school.

GCSEs

Very average, only some flaws

Trinity is a very adequate school. There maybe be better schools for individuals but as a whole it gets the job done adequately. It has adequate GCSE coverage (though a couple smaller subjects are taken a year early), adequate opportunities, and adequate general school stuff. They do excell in some areas, with passionate teachers, great food (overpriced may it be) and great treatment of students in many ways. However, I know many students do not enjoy many aspects of it and would give it a lower precise due to this. For example, they give way too much homework (consistently a lot during holidays, including before the start of year 7), some very silly rules (such as always having a jumper on until the headteacher says otherwise and sometime low average in general school stuff. I would recommend this school if the alternative is to go to a school much further away or not suited to your child.
