Awful bullying culture
One the worst schools for bully and the teachers do nothing! If your child has a disability do not send them there, they will not get the support they need.

Regretful decision to go to UCC
We regret sending our child to Uplands. Behaviour and bullying is appalling and disruptive to those who want to learn. Too many supply and/or cover teachers on occasions. The school needs improved leadership (too much spin when communicating with parents and pupils). Leadership needs to listen to what parents communicate in open comments via Parent Surveys and be open when reporting back to Parents, and action those open comments concerns/complaints effectively. Policies need to be truly implemented and not just there as a tick box, or to quote when complaints are raised. Our child is fed up with the bullying and bad behaviour, and consistency of teaching lost through covers/supplies, and so are we. Focus seems to be best outcome for the school/its leadership. Our opinion is the complaints process/policy is flawed (the school policing itself) and subsequently the DofE only look at whether that policy was followed. Not the school that was promoted to us at the Open Evening when we were selecting a secondary school (an important factor in our childs life and future).

A great rural school for all children
An ambitious and caring school with high expecations of students. It wants all students to do well and provides lots of additional opportunities. I really rate the head teacher. She has worked tirelessly during COIVD to keep the school on track and parents well informed, all while managing a massive building project and raising academic standards. Well done to all the Uplands team.
Awful leadership
Good school most of the teachers are great but the head is awful no one likes her she brings down the school i would give 5 stars if we had someone else
