Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. This school is terrible and should be shut down. The only thing they can get right is the paperwork so when you complain nothing happens and they continue to fail more pupils. My daughter was bullied for years and they did next to nothing. My friend's daughter has autism and they receive extra funding for her. She's lucky to do more then one lesson in a day whilst the rest of the day she's sat in a room like if it's day care, board and not learning. Most of the decent teachers and helpers have left because they don't want to be a part of it. Some of the teachers are vile and bully pupils themselves and shouldn't be around children. Many groom children with their far left political views, having assemblies on what they can and cant say and the whole school full of LGBT posters when it's pride month. The head my Sykes is useless, doesn't care and is clearly just there for the stature and money. They are failing many young life's and it's disgusting. I wouldn't believe Ofsted reports etc because when they visited they were usherd away from speaking to my daughter. It's a farce and fixed like how they cover themselves with the paperwork all the time. Redbridge is much better school that don't expect bulling and deals with is straight away, they offer a lot more opportunities and clubs. Ush is full of staff that don't want to be there and just collect the money. If your considering sending your child to this school ask local parents that have actually had to deal with the school. I have had to pull my child out of this school and take her to get counseling after her experience with this school.

most teachers were alright but the teachers who actually had power ie head of years, head teachers did very little to no help on issues you were having.
Unusual
This school isn’t the best for students, actually learning in lessons is fine but when it’s other things it’s not good. Lots of bad things have happened in ush and it’s past is just the same. It’s good is amazing there and I’m social times it’s great.
upper shirley high school review
craig david went to this school that’s why i gave it two and not one star. it is kind of bad if you’re not really smart or really stupid because you will probably get ignored. also you might get bullied and the teachers will do very little to help because for some reason the bullies are always the teachers pets. but if you are smart and you’re confident that you won’t get bullied you should probably go to this school because you will thrive. the pasta is so good though and the chicken nuggets on a friday the canteen is top tier.
