The worst school ever I've had the misfortune of staying there for 5 years of my life and in those five years I've not enjoyed a second

Ever since the new Senior Leadership Team (SLT) arrived at Winton Academy in September 2023, I have been pleasantly surprised by the positive changes that have been made. Managing a school of this magnitude must be challenging, especially when attempting to alter people's viewpoints. Regrettably, the Academy faced difficulties over the past few years, resulting in multiple changes in leadership. Despite receiving a favorable rating in their recent Ofsted evaluation, there is still progress needed to reach an outstanding status. I firmly believe that, with the backing of parents, Winton Academy has the potential to achieve excellence.

Abysmal secondary school.. poor communication, inability to communicate effectively to different types of children from different walks of life. Give detentions, isolations and exclusions at the drop of a hat, bark orders at the children rather than try to have connected conversations. Outlandish policies on using the bathroom; especially difficult if your child has any type of additional need such as ADHD which can lead to them forgetting to use the toilet or for girls going through their periods. I am aware of so many unhappy children and parents - there is not “community” about Winton such a shame it is going down hill and fast

Hi, I go to this school. It's great. Except from the cameras inside loo and the pe teachers entering the lockers. One time the police came for a mischievous teacher.

Horrible school honestly. Teachers constantly give students panic attacks, they don't do anything about bullying even though they say it won't be tolerated. Lots of racism, homophobia, and BULLYING. Many people get stabbed and Dentenion for no reason. People get detention for having white socks, WHITE SOCKS. Terrible school. Students constantly feel victimized. DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE

Students are direspectful and staff treat you like your an inferior infant.

Seeing that review made me SICK. This school is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. One star. Don’t bring your child here if you want it to have a good life. Well, actually. I sent my son here and he got bullied because he was in a wheelchair. There was instances where those damn kids pushed him off his motherF***ing wheelchair!! SHOCKING. HORRIBLE STAFF. DI BETTER!!!! After moving from an outstanding Secondry school to this one I am said to say it just couldn’t compare, unfortunately it had many issues and in my opinion didn’t care about all of the students and dealt with things the wrong way.
