AVOID!

Absolutely dreadful school. Management needs seriously addressing. I got the vibe that all staff were out to get each other. There was no sense of team work at all.

The ALNco showed no interest in my child and the concerns I raised. Was happy to blame it on ‘behaviour’.

There’s a reason they were in special measures!!!!

Avoid!

when schools are a bit too much of a school.

ysgol greenhill is a school. and when schools are schools….. things can get a bit.. yknow.. schooly. the teachers teachers teach children to become teachers to teach about nuclear bombs. i think this is atrocious. the students.. are students! barbaric, isnt it? the cubicles have toilets and the classrooms have walls! i honestly think this is awful. 🥶 mr turner is a table which is a bit crazy because my dad is a certified mold owner and cardboard is make out of sea food. and lastly..

god bless merica! 👴🏻🥶🔥🇺🇸🦅

absolute shit

never had a good experience all the teachers don’t care if you pass or fail they’re just there for a paycheck. apart from a few teachers there all dreadful. bullying isn’t addressed in the slightest. the clear impression that staff don’t care for the students safety, learning or for the well-being of students.

Honest review.

Some staff are lovely and I can tolerate most of them, but there are the few that are incredibly insufferable. They are ever so strict on rules that i believe to be ridiculous. Any form of being yourself and being unique, such as dying your hair or having piercings, is completely ridiculed by this school, if they normalised ‘different’ it wouldn't be any kind of problem and wouldn’t promote bullying among the students. These crazy rules make the ‘different’ students stand out like a sore thumb even more than they already do. I understand coloured hair may be distracting but not if its normalised like it is in this day and age. Coloured hair and piercings isn't as distracting as a student screaming across the class, often using crude language and talking loudly about inappropriate topics for a school environment. A disrespectful, rude and slacking student is more of a concern than a hard working student with good grades that has coloured hair and piercings.

This brings me onto the bullying, staff do nothing about it normally, but if you go to the right teachers they will help and sort things out. Students are generally rude and irritating. Homophobia and Transphobia is a big problem not just among the students but among the teachers. Past Trans students I have known were denied access to the changing rooms and bathrooms of their gender, a student was even forced to move because of it. A kind PE teacher, who even did lessons on the LGBTQIA+ community during lockdown, tried to do something about it, but was unsuccessful because of the transphobic system which is the school.

Some other things are that the building is falling apart, even sometimes floods inside when it heavy rains. Some teachers cant control classes. Constantly having supply teachers. Staff would rather you look presentable than have good grades. Teachers are too pushy with students that are uncomfortable to speak in front of groups. Unfortunately the only good thing I can say about this place is that the cheese baguettes are quite nice.

Don't send your child here unless you want them to come home having learnt nothing but discrimination and disrespect.

Potentially a great school.

School has potential but is held back by a poor building not suitable for modern education. Good teachers, but lots unenthusiastic, but that’s understandable as the curriculum set by the governments is unsatisfactory. If the teachers could teach their subject without a curriculum would be enjoyable and I would of progressed much more. Good effort made by teachers to provide after school activities. Security is terrible, multiple entrances, members of the public have entered building lost multiple occasions. Negative atmosphere made by pupils where laddish behaviour is seen amongst girls and boys. Very very judgemental including both pupils and staff. No individuality. Canteen is unhealthy and repetitive.
