Some teachers are great. It’s the teachers in charge that are not.

Toxic school

The school is not a nice place for children.
The teachers, mostly head teachers of the school, abuse their power, use inappropriate and unnecessary punishments, that they call consequences.
The school and children are managed through a fear culture. The children are scared to tell their parents through fear of repercussion.
Toxic environment.

good school, intense bullying

it was okay tbh. like nothing really bad ever happened there

however, if your a black student and considering to join the school, turn right back around and think of another school. the casual racism that goes around here if your not willing to stand up for your self it’s insane the amount of bullying you will go through is disgusting.

another critique that i have is the support for people with problems such as ADHD or dyslexia. my friend has dyslexia and had to move down sets purely because of his disability, yet being better at me in a lot of subjects?????? wht
also, the schools way of handling adhd problem is really bad. it’s kind of just a “ ur more than ur label “ type of talk you get and nothing is put in place to help you

finally, it’s their obsession with uniform that gets me. for some reason, schools tends to care about the shoes your wearing and not the education???? always the teachers that bother you for uniform can’t teach ffs

apart from that - it’s all okay! nothing apart from the occasional bullying - if your popular and friendly, you should be fine. apart from that, stay in your toes.

Prejudiced Staff

This school is fundamentally flawed. Governors have had extensive influence on their child’s position within the school and their relationships with SLT and other staff. A member of the science department recently resigned due to racism and prejudice, allegedly. Examples of this prejudice have been shown in other areas of the school, especially with students. Those students in a privileged position have the ability to force the dismissal of a member of the student leadership team, without taking input from the accused individual. It’s a shame as there are some excellent teachers who deserve a better place of work.

horrible school

I currently attend and im in my final year. I joined the school in year 8, and fair to say i highly dont reccomend this school to any parents whos children are in year 6 or are looking to move schools. Only a few teachers at the school can actually teach, and actually care about your mental wellbeing. The rest couldnt care at all about your mental being and expect you to get good grades, yet they cant teach. Ive been bullied on numerous occasions, and the school know about it. They claim they will 'talk to the bullies' yet it still continues and they clearly havent said anything. Another occasion being i dyed my hair blonde in lockdown 1, and when my roots began showing, i got told it needs redying, and the headteacher spoke to me in the corridors on a friday and told me ill be put in refferal on monday if i dont have it dyed. At the same time there was girls walking round with red hair, the exact same hair colour as me yet they didnt get shouted at, and when they did they got told 'get it dyed when you can.' Which clearly as you can see is a form of sexisim. Bullying, homophobia, sexisim, racisim, mental health really doesnt matter to them. What they care about is skirt length, trouser length, good grades, hair colour etc. The school really needs to be shut down, and when ofsted come in in the next couple of months somebody needs to complain and show them how brutal this school truly is behind closed doors.

Good.

Although not all the teachers are helpful. They do have a number of supportive staff. However the SEND (special educational needs) department need to improve. I got promised help with something before i came up to secondary, didnt get it.... Also got invalidated by one teacher.

They are my only issues.
But i do think the school is amazing.

ratty school

it’s terrible the fact they do absoloutley nowt for you when your getting bullied or your mental health has gone down hill, but yet when your grades are getting bad they have a go at you or when you’re in year 8 and your maths grades are bad they pull you out of doing geography and history. literally there’s only two sound teachers, the rest are nasty as. the uniform is honestly the ugliest thing i’ve seen in my life, the uniform rules are bad can’t have your trousers under 17cm at the ankles? literally blame it on distracting male students or teachers, tf why would anybody want to look at your ankles and secondly if it distracts them shows they’re a nonce? honestly regret going to this school cabot wait to leave man

A good school.

This is a good school. There are certain teachers that are rude and not helpful but that is only one or two.
