False Narratives, Real Harm: Holding Police to Account

It is deeply concerning when those in positions of authority, who are trusted to uphold fairness and integrity, instead push a false narrative that damages lives. In my family’s case, a police officer’s words and Arden’s unlawful actions have created a story that is not only untrue, but harmful.

A false narrative does not just misrepresent facts - it shapes how people see you, it influences decisions, and it can strip away trust in systems that should protect us. The ripple effect is huge: a child stigmatised, a family distressed, a community misled.

What makes this worse is that once a narrative is spoken by an authority figure, it is very hard to challenge. People take it at face value. Yet the truth still matters and must be fought for.

I share this because silence only protects the wrongdoers. Accountability is not about revenge; it’s about making sure no other family suffers in the same way. Lies may echo for a while, but the truth will always prevail.

Instead of safeguarding my child, the school allowed a culture to develop where harmful rumours and social exclusion were tolerated, if not passively endorsed. My concerns as a parent were met with dismissal rather than support, and the emotional damage caused has been profound.

No child should ever feel unsafe or targeted at school especially not with the knowledge or involvement of those in positions of authority. My son has suffered deeply as a result of the school’s inaction and lack of accountability.

This experience has been heartbreaking. Arden has failed my son, and I sincerely hope they reflect on the consequences of their choices for the sake of every child still in their care.

What’s most shocking is that a teacher at this school was recently investigated in connection with extremely serious safeguarding issues involving children - something no parent should ever have to hear associated with their child’s school. This only reinforces how deeply flawed the safeguarding systems truly are.

No longer good. Avoid fighting for a place.

Not hearing great things about this school. Sadly, it used to be great but is now on the decline like most under invested secondary comprehensive schools. It's overcrowded, kids packed in like cattle. Teachers leaving on mass. Lack of sports and clubs. Insufficient dining space, classrooms, physical education space indoor and outdoor. Worst of all seems to be a very negative, aggressive attitude between kids. Lack of manners. Lots of bullying and intimidating behaviours.

Teachers using mobile phones in class. Stand in teachers not doing their job.

Sounds like behavior you might find in a young offenders insitution.

Worst thing is the management are lying and covering up how bad it is.

Needs new management with new ideas. Needs cctv in classrooms and corridors.

Need to deal with bad behaviour due to watered down intake.

Pray for a change soon.

Dont go to this school

Such a bad school.
They repair the floor with duct tape.
The toilets have cum in them, and stink like a raccoons arse.
You cant do anything without getting in trouble.
It costs as much to get a 250ml drink that taste like ass and shitty chicken wrap that dosent even get wrapped up half the time as to get a meal deal from sainsburrys.

Not great

Too many students for a small school
Facilities very old and dated. Not enough toilet capacity. Plenty of bullying and fighting. Vaping and drug taking and dealing. Knive issues. Not enough sports changing rooms. Unruly students.

horrible

it is horrendous they stop you from wearing coats of a certain pattern or color based on weather or not they like it. considering the fact two of ardens values are courage and respect they are 1 not being very respectful considering someone may feel un-comfortable wearing a coat of a certain color or pattern which is clearly not offending anyone they are not one bit respectful of it and 2 courage they are not courageous in the slightest. poor school

Arden

There are many fights and the teachers aren’t helping. Also many many students suffer with anxiety and they don’t do anything.

Arden Academy

It’s alright. The worst part of the school isn’t the teachers or facilities (howbeit, both are lacking, especially the facilities.), it’s the students. Most of the girls are chavs that make everyone else’s lives miserable you don't conform to their standards. The school does try if you’re being bullied but there’s not a lot that can be done.
The facilities are poor at best, although that’s not the school's fault. I do however think they’ve made some dicey financial choices (the 10+ TVs in the main block that aren’t used for anything, the canopies that the parents had to pay for that they’ve taken down, etc.) that could’ve been thought out better.
I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone with an ounce of uniqueness to them, because they will suffer as a result. However, it's not a bad school otherwise.

Arden review

School is very old and dirty, teachers are alright but not very helpful at times. Food is very overpriced and everyone that goes there is quite rich there is not really a mixed bunch of people. Lots of GCSE subjects to pick from and you only start studying GCSE subjects from year 10.

teachers are really good but the school is way too small for the amount of students
they are building a new and bigger one though :)
would recommend but the majority of students are either snobby or chavs lol

Needs to be rebuilt

Old, dirty and cramped with 1800+ students in a 800 capacity school, however there are good teachers, courses and clubs.
