Just remembered how bad this school is especially at site 2. Learning was average but at the same time we learnt things we didnt need and in lower sets we never learnt new things until the end of y6 which was algebra only. In the SATs there was many questions i didnt understand as i wasnt taught them which led me to get a 102 in my math SATs. The food was horrible ever since it became free, lack of quality and in reception we were forced to eat every single thing on our plate even when we said we were full or didnt like what else was on the plate. Most teachers will yell at you for no reason. When i was in year 3 the head of year 3, 4, 5 and 6 made me miss my entire break and lunch for no reason at all, in year two the orange class teacher in year two forced me and someone else to stay back all the time at lunch for a few months without eating any food at lunch, cleaning up the classroom for her all because me and my ex-friend decided to draw in our literacy books. Racism came into light especially by students but there were also teachers who were racist. NEVER come here as it's a horrible place for your children.
i just left the school as a pupil of 7 years.i loved it but if there is one flaw i think it would have is that they should fix up their staff and leave good staff in both schools not just cantebury road
overall 4/5
Deeply disappointed with the overall management of Barclay primary school.
The leadership team appears disorganized and unresponsive, which directly impacts the quality of education and overall environment for the children. The most concerning issue is the alarmingly high teacher turnover. It seems like there is a new teacher in my child's classroom every few months, which disrupts the consistency and stability that young students need. This constant change of staff is unsettling for the children and raises serious questions about the school's ability to retain quality educators.
Additionally, the school's disregard for parent feedback and input is frustrating and shows a lack of respect for the community it serves. Unfortunately, the current management does not foster this partnership, and it greatly affects my trust and confidence in the school.
Was once an amazing school. Regrettably, recently our experience has been marred by poor management and a glaring lack of understanding and communication with parents.
it's evident that the management are struggling. Important decisions appear to be made without proper consideration for their impact on students and families. It's clear that effective leadership is sorely lacking.
