I'm in year 7 and already this is super stressing, I knew homework would be hard but I didn't expect it to be this hard and in these quantities. As someone who likely has ADHD but is not diagnosed in concept the homework system sounds fine , fair and square with 1 week to do homework and a warning 1 and 1 hour detention if you don't do it or not to a hight enough standard. But their selection of homework websites is absolutely abysmal, Languagenut for languages, Bedrock for English, Mathswatch for Maths, and Seneca for science (the only good one), also not to mention extra and paper homeworks. The amounts of homework we have to do is crazy, multiple tasks for Mathswatch, each usually being over 20 questions (With smaller questions inside. eg: 1. a)... b)... c)... 2. etc) with all of the entire questions written out, explained, with workings, and green pen(corrections, ticks, Xs). If you miss a single one of these you get a detention. Teachers are also super biased, context: I am a white male (Important for later) and my teacher decided it was a good idea to not give us a week to do a but tonne of homework and I only noticed on Wednesday, she posted it on Monday due for Friday. Another kid in my Maths class didn't even try to do her homework whether it was an accident or not, she was a Muslim (idk where from) female and our Maths teacher said "[name] you didn't do your homework, that's one hour after school", simple enough, straight to the point, no embarrassment. However, for me the teacher looked at my homework and decided to wait until the head of Maths walked in, I only noticed this homework on Wednesday but I couldn't do it because of other extra homework due the next day, I stayed up until 11pm doing this homework and woke up early the day it was due in an attempt to try and finish it, unfortunately I was not able to because of the extreme length and lack of time to do so, this also meant I wasn't able to do my Languagenut (which is already bad enough) which is usually due on Fridays, she waited for the head of maths to walk in and said "WHERES QUESTION 15, 16 AND 17?!" and proceeded to blame me, be rude , interrogate and embarrass me infront of the entire class, since I wasn't able to do my Languagenut aswell because of this homework I got a double detention, that's 2 hours after school. This is like my 3rd time having issues just with this teacher for homework, I don't even have the time to say all the issues with this school, if I did then this review would just go on and on and on and on forever.

I was also misled by teachers about the length of the half term, many said it was 2 weeks and that was how long I had to do my homework, turns out it was only one week and there's only 2 days left. This school has destroyed my mental health.

As an ex student - I left 7 years ago and I have bad memories here, I didn’t get the support I should have and they caused me to have mental health issues including severe anxiety and depression, I’m much better now but it has took me several years to heal from this traumatic school experience. In my year there was tons of typical cliques, bullying from other students including some teachers, and high expectations from the school, they expect too much pressure especially from students that have learning difficulties, there was a complete lack of support and because I couldn’t fulfil their academic expectations anymore, they couldn’t support me further so they just gave up on me, I left the school with failed education and poor mental health so I had a horrible experience here

When the head of the school can’t dress properly and most of the new teacher are racist a hols,this school is down hill they rude ignorant and uneducated teachers don’t know how to talk to kids ,my son don’t want to go school anymore coz of this shite teachers they have .
