Lets cut to the main problems, the teachers are amazing for what they put up with, they can do their jobs when given the time and resources to do so, SLT, however, do not provide this platform.

Constantly they will provide support and benefits to the highest performers of the school, A* students who make the school look like a heaven for the academically inclined, while covering up the behaviour of the worst behaved students in the school up until the risk of them getting the school into trouble becomes too glaring to ignore.

So where does that leave the over a thousand other students, those who walk the thin line, who struggle constantly and pull away with just passable grades, with no real system in place to track their grades and to help them, and whatever mirage of a system they have on place to track overall grades being kept hidden from students and parents, with them given a "working towards" grade with no verifiable working standard to prove these are accurate, having them all be left up to interpretation by the overworked, underpaid teachers in a skeleton crew of a school staff team, how can you even track your kids progress, how can you provide an education that allows for those about to be let out into the larger world of work, as everyone gets a shock with the reality of it.

There are always good parts to schools, but the poor, misaligned leadership harms students progression in life, and invites conflict, with their priority being set on cramming as many bodies into a school not built for that capacity, with the site built for 1,000 students, not 1,250. From my time, SLT seemed to of always found time for more religious activities, pulling unwilling students away from classrooms and other activities to be crammed into the on-site chapel, paired with the minimums given to sports days and other enrichment that would improve student responses to this school, forcing them to sing hymms of religions they do not believe in, even to go as far as putting big stickers around the main auditorium hall that read the 4 values of the school, all while english teachers complained about not having the budget for reading literature books, maths teachers not being able to keep a stock of tools like protractors, calculators, rulers and compasses and even the science department not being able to keep enough stock of materials for scientific practical studies, to a point where the pressure and blame is put on students and parents, for them to source uniform that cost upwards of £100, even with the schools supposedly helping keep the costs of uniforms down, all for a "smart" and "presentable" look, all to feed their vision of a happy school where nothing goes wrong, all while hurting those less fortunate by punishing students who're unable to afford the uniform or basic items needed for education.

They act like a school, but don't think for one second that the leadership team actually gives a toss about students or parents, they just do enough to make it seem like they do, so if you're looking at this school as an option, don't; and if your child is looking at this school, do everything you can to dissuade them, they'll regret it if you don't.

The school is amazing, the staff are an absolute pleasure to be a part of the wonderful school

It is terrible. Please do not send your child here. All the teachers are awfully rude..everything about this school is impossible to under stand. Do not send children here
