Unless you are SEN with a diagnosis you won’t get the help you need from this school.
My child was put in the area where the children who were disprutive and in isolation for the day were and left on their own all day instead of giving the correct help they needed at school when they couldn’t cope in the class environment.
My child struggled for many years and was just fobbed off. Head of senco was very reluctant to help and when concerns were raised most the time they didn’t seem to know what to do.
Mental health of the children at this school is not taken seriously at all as much as they try show they promote it they don’t seem to have enough knowledge or training to actually back this up which leads to students including my own childs mental health deteriorating.
This school prides itself on its successful exams results however that’s is all, if you look closer the school is actually failing many children on a daily basis and the drop of the ofsted rating shows this.
Senior members of staff honestly do not care about students wellbeing as long as the outcome of grades is to their standard that makes them look better.
This school fails to recognise pupils as individuals and support is not given to those with extra needs. The staff turn over rate is the highest I have seen at any school and santions on pupil are not consistent. Some are too low and others for the same discretion excessive. It seems of you are reactive and try to work with the school to support the pupils learning they only negatively target the pupil further. The communication between staff is disgraceful although not surprising given the turn over of head teacher roles, again leaving pupils with not continuity.
Senco is absolutely awful, bullying is ridiculous. Have been going here for 3 years and hated every minute of it, tons of homework and small deadlines.
