Its horrible

Its horrible i go here and honestly I hate it you can't do anything such as dyeing hair cause apparently according to the idiots who run the school it is "distracting and "can cause bullying" yeah but If im disabled or part of lgbtq+ community you Don't give a shit about me being bullied you only care about bullying when it comes to teaching control from a young age and not allowing students to express them selfs. How about you give us basic human rights but no you refuse us to go to the toilet even though we can't control when we need to. And then you proceed to give "girls" pink card for when there on there periods just so they can be embarrassed as fuck and if they Don't identify as a girl could give them gender dysphoria whitch as someone who has had that before shit.

So please don't send your child here I don't want to see any more great kids turn either depressed or into a monster

Here are my reasons why I gave it one star

I go to this school and it is horrible there are so many idiotic rules that are there to teach control from a young age such as

Not allowing students to dye there hair un natural colours makes no sense. What is it going to do to you if I where to have blue hair it doesn't effect learning and it is a way for people to express who they are. Also people getting in trouble for having buzzed hair I have see and heard of this happening it is just utterly stupid giving a child punishment for them expressing themselves and trying new things.

Another point I have is not allowing more that one ear piercing on each ear in the loab and no other piercings is understandable because it could be dangerous if doing physical activities but if students take them out on days they have these or make sure there piercings are not a danger I see no reason to scold them for having them.

The school restricts there students from expressing themselves by using the exuse of bullying yet when bullying occurs they do hardly anything. In my time at this school I have had friends be Bullied for disabilities and nothing being done and also for there sexuality or gender identity whitch the school trys to make it seem they care so much about.

My last point is that they do not care about basic human rights. They refuse students to use the toilet during lesson stating "you should have gone at break" or "lunch is soon" it idiotic. People have most likely been drinking water during the day so at some point they will need to go to the toilet and its not like they can control when they need to go and even if they tryed to go to the toilet during break or lunch half or them are destroyed or utterly revolting or there are to many people just there.

If anyone is looking to send there child there don't i have hated every minute there except for the time I have spent with my friends. Please do yourself a favor and don't send your child here its a restricting school that is utterly horrible

Do not send your kids

Very unfriendly would not recommend sending your child here, it’s always one rule for one and one for another, money grabbers and do not respect cultural groups, male teacher always looking and judging girls for skirts and boys having there trousers tight which isn’t affecting there education, in my opinion it’s per*y, also mostly unfair on students was warned before hand about this school but wish I listened.

Why i don’t recommend this school

If you are muslim i wouldn’t recommend this school as they lie about islam quite a lot and spread the wrong message, also they are very islamaphobic when talking about our religion during PSHE.

Good school

It’s a great school if you are willing to put effort in. Most of the teachers are very good at their job and are willing to help you with any struggles you may have. There is a great support team if you are struggling inside or outside of school. The food is very good and there’s a much better choice of healthy food than there used to be.However the rules can be frustrating unless you understand why they are in place. Overall, it’s a very friendly environment where you will thrive if you put the effort in and accept the rules, if you don’t, however, you may struggle.

Shit Mental Health Help

Everyone I know who went to the wellbeing there was told they would have their parents called to arrange weekly visits to make sure they dont kill themselves or whatever. None of us got any of that and we just had to wing it. 😍

Bottisham village college

1. Was forced to look at a wall for a bad score on a french test. They language department don't care about you and your progress just how they are being portrayed by your scores.
2. Covid.. They did not handle the situation well at all with nearly whole year groups self isolating it's pathetic

BVC. Bad vile college.

My experiences with BVC were not good. 1. I could go around the school and point out many drug dealers
2. Teachers are not helpful (except the odd 1 or 2 who are e.g some of the history staff)
3. They do not handle COVID well, despite having 6 year 11s in school no self isolating and over 20 positive cases they refuse to go into lockdown and there are no real punishments for not wearing masks or following rules.
4. Teachers don’t care about students well being at all they always say go to pastoral support but at the end of the day if all students go to pastoral support that means the staff there are overwhelmed and some students may not be able to be seen.
5.they only care about their reputation not the students attending.
6. It is extremely easy to leave the school during school times yet when students who walk home want to go home through a gate at the end of a field it’s locked so we have to climb through a bush into the farmers field which the staff then try to fill the whole with a tree branch but still lock the gate...we moved the branch.
7.I was bullied and the teachers did nothing helpful so in the end I took advice from my parents on how to end it and the school has no real policy to stop bullying
8. All Their food isn’t bad but the pasta is disgusting it’s watery and bland and awful and their sandwiches are soggy, chicken is dry and this means all students are competing for who can get to the queue first to get to good food.
9. Due to COVID we all have separate zones the year 11s is the project area but even in winter we’re not allowed inside the actual project area unless we’re buying food or going to the toilet which is ridiculous because we’re all freezing and people like me who want to sit down and read or do some revision at break can’t
Overall BVC says it’s an outstanding school but it’s dirty, cruel, annoying and useless
