A school that presents and markets itself very well but beneath the surface provides an awful environment. Our son, who has been happy at all previous and subsequent schools was extremely unhappy here. The main issues were an aggressive alpha environment with many children not taught basic behaviours and etiquette (typified during sports matches where berating teammates, over-celebrating and an inability to cope with even minor losses were commonplace), poor academics (the majority seemed to be externally tutored as comically advsied to us when we spoke to an external consultant who was so used to calls from Caldicott parents), an incredible level of arrogance, and completely inexusably incompetance when helping complete our son's senior school application (forgot and missed the deadline for the required CAT test despite reminders, completely forgot the requirement for a piece of school work again despite numerous reminders and inadequate preparation for interviews and other areas again despite our requests for help). Our son was also humilated during lessons by some of the teachers (eg having to repeat an innocent mistake whilst the rest of the class were allowed to laugh at him) making him take regular toilet breaks to avoid this bullying. The school never showed the slightest interest in any of our concerns.
