I got abused and bullied safeguarding didnt work or do anything
Abuse I got abused bullied hit. Chesterton asked me if it was an accidental.kids hate school and all look very sick from drinking energy drinks. Teachers were mainly awful and were not caring or supportive and they would scream at you if you didn’t get a good grade. Popular cliques and lots of kissing happens at Chesterton . Food is ok but a bit dry and bland. Miss Moss was my head of house she tortured me and always tried to isolate me at lessons and make fun of me and scream at me. Sets, they never move anyone up except somebody they made an awful mistake with somebody and they were getting consistent 2s . People all seem to be trapped in hell. The worst part was the safeguarding when it comes to bullying they do not care. People were so mean and awful I had to change to a private school. Chesterton is a lie. Chesterton was just an awful grade focused environment.
i hate it the teachers are horrible kicked out of the school for fighting and the other person that fought me didnt even get a no thankyou dont go to this school.
Someone I know has received over 200 above and beyond points and the only reward they received was the 100 abps event which includes free icecream; awards such as free gift cards, items and stationary that were promised for the higher milestones of the abps were not awarded as promised in the notices leaving them and other students that were promised prizes unhappy and unsatisfied (I myself included as I hadn’t received a single reward even though I had over 50 abps). This school doesn’t seem to provide the students with the rewards they deserve. However, the teachers in the school are very friendly and the quality of teaching is exceptional.
My opinion of this school is that most of the things they care about or show interest in is grades and where you stand academically.
They are not very understanding with SEN children.
When someone is getting bullied seem to only do something about it when its physical and don’t care if verbal bullying.
Chesterton had ups and downs. The teaching quality varied heavily from teacher to teacher, with some caring more about being powerful than teaching quality.
Mental health support is there but only if you are at breaking point. I received free therapy and a family worker, though the school told my parents and had a lot of 'you are year 11 deal with it' conversations with me when I described my abusive home. They did then get me a family worker as they agreed it was abusive.
GCSE options are limited and they will try to force your child to take a language for GCSE as they grt the IBAC And it makes chesterton look good.
The building is nice, lots of outdoor space but not great food options and they don't update the school website so holiday timings are confusing.
The teachers don’t listen to you,and as for the learning support staff My friend got told to make sure the blade was clean when He used it. They let you smoke.treat you like your 3 and are okay with bullying. Never going to send my kids here
