Churchmead was a VERY mixed bag for me. There were some amazing teachers, who I truly believe helped shape me into the person I am today, but there were also some truly horrible ones. They would actively try to marginalise you and humiliate you. One teacher in particular took an active disliking to me (not sure why, because I always averaged a grade A-B in there) and she did everything in her power to make me feel uncomfortable.
When I attended, we had no work experience in year 11, and no help shaping us for the future. They were really struggling back then to actually provide us with proper teaching and proper facilities - I believe they have improved on this since my time there.
Being a smaller than usual secondary school, all the teachers knew you pretty well - which was a blessing and a curse. Some form tutors were horrid and their bad mouthing of you, would affect how other teachers treated you. Around 2013, many of the good teachers left, and honestly, I don't blame them. I don't think that I'd ever let my future children attend Churchmead. They do nothing to stop bullying, the lack of support is saddening and for the small amount of good teachers, there are a lot of bad ones.
Bad school, chaos in the class, indifferent teachers who don't teach well, but like to humiliate the students instead of raising the level of training, teachers who bully the children, instead of punishing the guilty, they take revenge only on some students, girls with indecent clothes, beatings in school, since the evaluation of the school and the teachers of the main subjects has not been done, they should be trained as in Catholic schools
I have been bullied since year 7 by the same girl, my head of year for year 7 was quick to acting what was happening but since year 8,9&10 the billing is ongoing but my head of year now does not proceed to do anything about it which makes me have no faith in him at all so therefore I no longer feel safe
