i used to go to the senior girls school but i'm leaving soon. i am going into year 10 but i have been in claires court since year 7. if i had to be honest, my experience wasn't horrifying but it was pretty mediocre and forgettable.
the education is good and there's a lot to learn and they try their best to support you as much as they can. but it's obvious that teachers have favourites. specifically the pe teachers who are biased on the popular sporty girls and are harder on the non athletic people. also the teachers tend to give unfair punishments like one time in year 8 my friend got an isolation just for having a conflict with someone over text. they overreact other the most pointless things like coats and makeup and shoes and chewing gum and energy drinks and if your skirt is rolled ever so slightly even though the pe skorts are up to your asscheeks.
and yet they also avoid bigger problems like rumours and conflicts between students, and they often side with one student (usually their favourite) and refuse to look at other sides of the story and just lazily give people detentions or isolations even if they don't deserve it. and if someone is bothering you they will most likely say they will do something about it but they just don't.
the school is very 2-dimensional. all the teachers yap about "individuality" but also expect us to act the same. and god forbid you want to express yourself slightly, because all the students are also very much the same and will judge you and talk shit about you if you're different. it's a small school so you basically know everyone and informations spreads fast. since there's not many people and everyone's the same, it's hard to fit in if you have social anxiety, autism etc. i experienced this my whole time at claires court. students can be abelist or homophobic.
the good things about the school is that there are good activities to choose from such as combined cadet force, school plays, rowing etc. but that's the only positive thing i have to say.
but i think it's a safe school as there's not any fights, drugs etc. going on.
i think this could be a good school, if you're neurotypical probably.
