Dalziel High School

i am writing this from a school laptop this school is a horrible environment to be in most teachers are bad at teaching also pick favourites there is a few good teachers but not alot most of the teaching styles are super bad they don't give extra support
unless you have something medically wrong even tho they have pride flags everywhere they still arent the best for supporting it they never help with bullying they dont care for children's mental heath even tho they say there always there to talk to i hate this school and i would never send my children here x

This school has a very stressful environment as somebody who is physically disabled and neurodivergent. I constantly encounter struggles and it feels like I receive little to no support because I “do well” in school. Teachers are okay but I REALLY wish they were more insightful and could stop making homework due the next day since pupils have a life outside of school. I also wish they’d stop picking on random pupils with their hand put down. Speaking from experience, the hand is normally down for a reason and me being picked to answer spontaneously has left me to harm myself to avoid feeling anxious. Another thing is I think the uniform should be changed if it can. Blazers are extremely uncomfortable to wear as someone with a lot of bad sensory issues. It’s overwhelming to have it on and if it was even switched to like a jumper or cardigan that would be amazing. The blazers feel inconvenient. I’ve heard a TON of people feel this way so it isn’t even just me. A lot of families also are unable to afford blazers due to them being very expensive. I get second-hand ones exist but it's difficult to sneak in and get one without someone seeing you and you getting made fun of.

Well I am a pupil here currently and I feel like it isn't exactly fair any other flags are practically been put up but no pride stuff...

But the school has great staff and some good pupils...

They are friendly to anything...

I have been at the school a while now. Most (if not all) subjects are boring and the teachers don't even try to make the lessons fun. The classrooms are all very depressing and the walls are just full of rules or posters students made 20 years ago.

Some subjects are okay but some are just so boring and teachers don’t even try to make it interesting and they just read everything on the slides. The people there are also really annoying.
