I'm going through bullying because of my height and looks, the head teacher is doing fuck-all to help the bullied students in the school, only redeeming quality is that some of the teachers are very supportive but the head teacher finds it horrible for my mates to be supportive of me when I get bullied.
I am writing this from a place of deep grief, anger, and responsibility. My cousin lost his life as a result of sustained bullying, and the way this school failed to protect him should never be ignored or repeated. What happened was not a single mistake — it was a prolonged pattern of neglect, unprofessional behaviour, and a complete failure of duty of care.
Teachers at this school are not there for pupils who are being bullied. When concerns are raised, they are ignored, minimised, or treated as if the victim is the problem. Pupils who are clearly distressed are left without support, guidance, or protection. This is not a lack of resources — it is a lack of care.
The bullying caused my cousin extreme stress every single day. He was living in constant fear and anxiety, and this was visible to those around him. The stress became so severe that it led to him being hospitalised, yet even at that point, the school failed to step in with meaningful care or safeguarding. That alone should have triggered serious intervention. Instead, it was treated as something that could be ignored.
What makes this even more disturbing is that staff were aware that people were waiting for him after school, yet nothing was done.
No safeguarding measures, no supervision, no protection. Allowing a child to leave school knowing they are at risk is a gross failure of responsibility.
My cousin was Muslim, and he was clearly neglected by the school’s care and safeguarding systems. He was not supported in the way every child deserves to be, and it is impossible to ignore how easily his concerns were dismissed. Whether through indifference, bias, or a complete lack of professionalism, a vulnerable Muslim pupil was left to cope alone while warning signs were repeatedly ignored.
Staff also consistently favoured the pupils who were clearly in the wrong. Bullies were excused, defended, or prioritised, while the victim was questioned, blamed, or silenced. This behaviour is completely unprofessional and creates an environment where bullying is allowed to continue without consequence.
The head teacher and deputy head failed in their responsibilities. Concerns were raised and brushed aside with no urgency, no accountability, and no leadership.
This culture of inaction allows bullying to escalate and sends a clear message that pupil wellbeing is not a priority.
We do not want this to happen to any other child. No pupil should be pushed to the point of daily stress, fear, and hospitalisation because adults failed to act. Bullying is not “part of school life,” and ignoring it — especially when it involves a child from a minority background — is dangerous.
This school has failed in its duty of care. Until teachers take bullying seriously, stop showing favouritism, act professionally, and protect all pupils equally, children will continue to suffer. Speaking out is necessary, because silence allows this to happen again — and that must not be allowed.
*Posted this review almost a week ago on Google but turns out they can filter out reviews that don't favour their "perfect school" meaning although my account says its posted it does not show up for anybody else*
Head teacher finds it appropriate to scream at a CHILD to "GET IT SORTED" after they've explained things were beyond their control; Traffic and horrible weather resulting a couple minutes of lateness. Number of other students late prior, but she was the only one stopped and ridiculed🤔😡?? Too strict with blazer policy. Expecting a child in heavy rain to magically appear wearing their blazer immediately entering school instead of their warm, rain protected jacket🤔 New senior school head of year needs to be retrained on how to do his job without the extra talking down and smirking!😡😑 Loads of complaints from my wain and her so called "pals" I've swept under the rug till today🤦🏻♀️ Things have went downhill since new downgrade "management" came in. Proof newer doesn't mean better🤦🏻♀️ Situations with borderline bullying in groups need to be handled better too!!! Teenage girls can be horrible we know🤕 but pastoral care should be dealing with it in a more effective manner. We appreciate the efforts made by SOME staff that have continued their excellent work for years👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Definitely agree with other people that reviewed there is a lack of support by new staff and pupils are in cliquey groups that think it is appropriate to pick on other kids.
Awful, definitely not somewhere you want to be, due to this school, my grades suffered, bullying is extremely common and staff as well as pupils are very cliquey. Really no redeeming points I can say for this school, it’s badly managed, and horrible to attend.
