Bog Standard

This is a good school although I feel that the discipline for it is a bit too far. I felt that when I did something on accident I would get a detention I feel maybe they should understand the students feelings as well. When I did my gsce mocks I struggled a lot, maybe improve on getting us ready for them quicker and more efficiently.

Discipline is very harsh and similar to a boarding school so very strict. Need to prepare kids for school exams or gsce better than they already are. High bullying rate.

A lot of the teachers (mainly Mrs Thorpe) touch pupils skirts to pull them down who need to be fired. Unnecessary discipline for the most random of things. Teachers also are super strict, overload on homework and make students feel uncomfortable in an environment that is supposedly safe. They falsely advertise their school as excellent but DO NOT GO. IT IS LIKE A JAIL.

Improvement areas

Greatest teachers in the country! Their kindness also comes with discipline! But please could they prepare year 7-9 for GCSEs too. For example with exam questions and flash card making to prepare for year 10/11. I remember not bothering much about GCSEs in year 7-9 because the school didn’t promote it enough so when it came to year 10, I struggled ALOT and I’m sure many students can relate! Also allow students to pick specific subjects for GCSEs along with the standard compulsory maths, English and science instead of setting a certain number of subjects and limiting them with certain areas they don’t want to go into. This will help them keep motivated and invest in subjects they care about.
