I was being bullied all the way through secondary and they all told me it's in my head and they wasn't gonna do anything about it.
They was always physical fights and both of us would get excluded. They didn't care about our mental health they more care about Ofsted and see it more as a company then a school. I spoke to one of the teachers about how I felt in general. I told her I couldn't do this anymore and I wanted everything just to stop. They put me in this lunch club with younger students at break and lunch. I didn't have a choice I had to go. I hated it might as well put me in detention. That increased the bullying they called it the 'special room' anyone who goes in there has something wrong with them practically labeling us. Ended up writing a suicide note about school. I had no friends I was being bullied and they was telling me it's all in my head. Its a terrible school and I know I'm not the only one feeling this way. Please check up on your children ask them about school, social life, how they feel in general you never know what a person is feeling it might shock you. To this day I still get reminded how I was treated there. Never knew how much something can impact the rest of your life. I remember a girl in our year locked herself in the P.E cubicle she left a trail of blood as the P.E staff took her out the room. We spoke to her after and she told us the same thing it's all just in our heads.
Some aspects are good such as the odd few excellent teachers but for the most part the school is terrible at dealing with issues and have bad priorities; they prioritise punishing students for minor violations of the dress code but ignore evidence of racism and assault.
Terrible at handling any student based issues such as bullying, harassment or behavioural issues but are quick to punish those for uniform or standard offences that are not serious.
