This school is horrible, my niece went here and every year she was in some drama with people over something so tiny and peoples mindset here is violence and the year team have failed her. This school has put her through so much and really impacted her mental health and the teachers knew that!! . The teachers honestly do nothing!!! A girl in the year above her from a different school left her school early to come outside the gates of her school and there were no teachers nearby!! The reason children leave this school 97% of the time is because bullying and harassment. Parents cannot raise their kids right. They encourage them to use violence!!! Horrible school. Especially the green ties. Horrible children and horrible year leaders. DO BETTER!!
My daughter recently joined haydon and is really enjoying it. She has been doing so well as it was a big change from primary school to secondary and she is settling amazingly. She has made many friends and everyone is kind and respectful there and staff are amazing dealing with incedents.
Overall an excellent school. Everyone assumes it is a bad school but it’s actually excellent and has outstanding education and everyone’s very nice and sensible.
Amazing school,My daughter recently joined Haydon and is in year 8,She is really enjoying it since she got bullied at her previous school. Haydon is really good with sorting out bullying and they are good at keeping students safe. The learning is outstanding and my daughter is doing so well and staff is nice.
This school should not be called a school. They dismissed my daughter as a problem child. She was sent out of every lesson. She is Autistic and has severe learning difficulties. This so called school had no duty of care for her. She was bullied by pupils and teachers. She had the reading and writing skills of a 7 year old- this school wanted to get rid of her. She stopped attending school at 14. She took no exams. She had no comprehension or understanding of the situation. The deputy head tried to blame me for her condition. They couldn’t wait to get rid of her. She was spat on hit and had her hair pulled out- she was locked in a cupboard by a teacher- she was left roaming the corridors and told she was a menace- she was laughed at and ridiculed by staff- She constantly called me to pick her up because she was pushed out of classes- They tried to send her to a special school- a hairdressing school in Hillingdon- She was 15. This so called school was funded by Hillingdon- The girls there were a lot older- 17-18. Pregnant and drug addiction issues—. This is how this despicable school deal with a child with severe issues because they couldn’t be bothered.
I have been a student at Haydon School for almost four years now, and it's time to share my honest thoughts on the overall experience.
1. Canteen Atmosphere:
The canteen experience at Haydon is far from ideal. It seems to be dominated by Year 7 and 8 students, creating an uncomfortable environment for older students. The lack of suitable seating, especially during winter when it's too cold outside, has led me to skip meals at school altogether.
Yet they have so much outdoor space in the field, they can't even build an extra canteen out there with a path leading to it.
2. Decline in Education Quality:
Over the past 5-7 years, there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of education provided at Haydon School. The teaching standards seem to have suffered, impacting the overall learning experience.
3. Student Culture:
A significant portion of the student body displays ignorance, with a refusal to adhere to decent and modest clothing standards. The way some students come into school is really indecent, contributing to an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. Swearing has become a pervasive issue, permeating every corridor and normal conversation.
4. Lack of Future Focus:
Many students at Haydon School seem apathetic towards their future. While expressing a desire for a successful life, a substantial number fail to put in the necessary effort during this crucial stage of their education.
5. Teacher Engagement:
Frequent use of substitute teachers and some teachers' inability to communicate effectively hinder the learning process. Some educators assume a one-size-fits-all approach, neglecting to ensure that students grasp the foundational aspects of a topic.
6. Environmental Issues:
Litter is a pervasive problem throughout the school, detracting from the overall aesthetic and creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
7. Student Behavior:
A sense of entitlement among students is evident, manifesting in arrogant behavior, corridor disruptions, and unnecessary fights for the sake of popularity. This undermines the positive learning environment the school should foster.
8. Financial Struggles:
Haydon School's financial situation is concerning. Reports indicate that the school is almost broke, and there are claims that, in some instances, substitute teachers received higher compensation than the regular teaching staff. This financial strain could be contributing to various issues within the school.
9. Focus on Values and Education:
Haydon School appears to lack a comprehensive program to instill values and essential life skills in students. There is a need for a more proactive approach in teaching students how to learn effectively, manage time wisely, and prioritize health and fitness over less constructive activities—examples of such unproductive activities include mindlessly scrolling through TikTok for hours, neglecting the valuable time of their youth.
10. Learning System and Technology:
While the learning system is organized, there are concerns about the abrupt transitions between topics and the substantial amount of time spent on maintaining discipline in the classroom. Additionally, the requirement for students to spend £400 on a Chromebook with 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD raises questions about the value for money and whether the investment is justified by the features provided.
In conclusion, Haydon School has its challenges, ranging from the social atmosphere to educational quality. A holistic approach that addresses these issues, including the financial concerns, could significantly enhance the overall student experience and better prepare students for their future endeavors.
I DO NOT like this school, the people push, hit, smack, punch, kick, claw, headlock you. I reported it once because my friend was getting spat on and robbed and the teachers did nothing. I've been robbed so many times at this school. They really need to fix it.
It's a horrible school with horrible children the teachers do not do anything about bullying or serious matters the bullying is really bad in haydon the amount of disrespect and in half the lessons you don't do anything the students are horrific and inappropriate the school itself it's very filthy and dirty and teaching is bad
I started Year 12 this chaotic September and cannot stress how much myself and others have been disturbed by the horrific and awkward sights of PDA in the Common Room. Now I’m all for teenagers experiencing things and whatnot, but the PDA has to stop. It’s school. Society has progressed past the need for horniness and there’s no reason as to why adolescents between the ages of 16-18 can’t keep their hands to themselves in school. With the Coronavirus pandemic still going on, it’s very risky to be doing these deeds in the school, as a mega virus mixed with STDs could mutate or whatever. This is an issue that must be addressed, teachers cannot go on turning a blind eye. Imagine how it feels trying to do work or just relax in the Common Room (especially since the Study Room was shut), to then see students engaging in PDA. It’s weird, gross, traumatic and kinda tacky. And when I say PDA… I don’t just mean kissing.
This then brings me to another issue that Haydon is clearly ignoring, polygamy. Again, I’m all for teenagers experiencing things, but this is school. It’s already hard enough trying to ignore a couple engaging in PDA, but imagine a thruple. My innocent eyes cannot handle this visual abuse anymore. And I don’t want to name and shame, because that wouldn’t be a productive way to end the PDA and in-school polygamy. However, there’s a limit, and certain Haydon students have exceeded this limit.
I hope Haydon School staff see this message and counteract this issue.
Mums life this school gave me literal cancer. Big boy jones is always eying my dick and saying “scuse me, tuck ur shirt in” but bmt the guys who created dis school go suck ur muddah and headbutt ur dad cuz this school was the breeding ground for aids kmt.
