Lawn manor is stupid

This school is absolutely trashy. The toilets are vile especially in central. The bullying is horrendous and the amount of fights at lunch and break is pathetic on the plus side there Is atleast a wide variety of clubs and activitys

Well...

Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience at the school. I left with good grades that have helped me get into the A-level course and college of my choice but most of the work was done independently. Some topics I even had to teach myself.
The school teaches you revision techniques when it’s too late. I was taught revision techniques a few months before my gcses. By then, it felt too late as I had to go through trial and error since yr9 to find the best way to revise for me.
It’s run by teachers who only know one method to teaching which doesn’t work for everyone which results in losing focus and concentration. The same teachers will complain that the students don’t care about their education and that they disrupt the class for fun. These are the same teachers who issue punishments way too quickly and throw out detentions left right and centre. They don’t build confidence in every student but leave some students feeling as they’re not enough, especially when they don’t reach their target grades. A lot of teachers play favourites. I can’t name a single one of my teachers who didn’t play favourites.
Their food was terrible. Seriously terrible.
Every time ofsted visited, the school put on a fake act yet still received the result “requires improvement”
One singular good thing that came from this school was their diversity. Having friends from different cultures teaching me about it was amazing. But the school should’ve done more to expose their students to different cultures.
Would not recommend even though I came out with good grades :)

I advise not to go

Well despite the fact that it is rated one of the worst schools and gets super rigid and scared when people come to inspect fhe school. The teachers are quite unprofessional and make it near to impossible to have a good day . The education is also quite horrific and doesn't give you the support you need . Many people move from this school but no one ever moves to thus school from other schools... I can see why . It is quite a dirty place in general and the food is basically unedible , the chicken is always pink and I'm pretty sure the food poisoning I got a couple of days ago was from their food because I barely eat do that was all I had to eat for that day .... so yeah I was puking and everything thanks to them . Please if your thinking of going here or sending your child here please please pick another school. Your child will get a better experience and better education elsewhere.

It’s a good school, however their punishments can be over exaggerated over things that in the real world would not be considered “poor behaviour”, and in many schools are excused. Additionally, in all honesty this is a thing in most schools however I’ve seen this worse in my school the teachers (not all but a fair amount) have a belief that their staff don’t do any wrong, however, that is not the case in fact most teachers know the strengths and weaknesses of majority students they teach, but for some reason choose to poke at them weaknesses as if it’s to get a reaction out of the student because they know they can punish them for it. Another thing about this school is lanyards each student/tutor has a set house: Fitzroy; Pleydell and Goddard, these lanyards have to be worn everyday all day as part of your uniform, although if you do not you get issued a detention and in some cases an additional conduct point, however after getting issued the detention you do not in fact get given a replacement despite in some cases them being lost and some students do not have the money even though they’re only £3 for the whole thing some students do not have enough money to then purchase a new lanyard after loosing it, in my opinion you should instantly get given a new one by your tutor or head of year after getting issued the detention just like they do with conduct cards. However this school does actually have some good attributes such as, some teachers do try their hardest to encourage students to do their best, they are there for their students or even students they don’t teach, they provide a safe environment for students to come and talk to them about anything from lessons to personal issues. Another thing this school is good for is their showcases every term they hold a musical/dance showcase where students can audition or ask their teacher to take pet in they are held after school for friends and family of the students to come along and watch, it is a great way for students to express their creativity and individuality and can be so much fun to take part in.
