Wonderful change
Staff are kind and caring and the school is really trying to tackle hard hitting issues regarding anti bullying, they are trying to build up their students confidence levels so that they have high expectations of themselves. The new culture code and expectations that have been introduced over the last 2 years has had a big impact in the community, students seem to be nicer, well rounded and caring individuals. Keep up the good work Meden
My view on Meden school :)
As a student at Meden School, I personally think it is an average school to be in. The learning environment in the school is very nice and all have a focused atmosphere to them when in a lesson. The food here is very excellent, my all time favourite food they sell here at Meden school is the sugar waffles which are a good treat to eat and to help you get through the day. Most of the food is a little pricey, which may be the only flaw about the food and drinks they sell here. Putting the food and lessons aside, I believe that around 10 percent of the students like to think its okay to get away with a horrible thing as bullying. Bullying is very common, and a big problem. I got bullied through year 7 and 8 by a girl and her group. I got blamed for many lies, and I got manipulated to making me think I was the problem. I see now that I did absolutely nothing wrong, but my advice especially for year 6s starting in September, please make sure that you are friends with the right people. Make sure that you pick your friends wisely. Because as soon as you walk through those gates like I did, everyone around you will change dramatically. Please be aware that if you find your friends to doing bad things like for example bullying or crime, never take part. Being "cool" or "hard" wont mean a thing when you leave secondary. You will never ever see those people again, they won't care what you did. Don't do stupid things for popularity or clout, its not worth it. I think the students behaviour is the most difficult problem Meden faces, and yes, I know they are trying to make situations better for all pupils and staff, they don't really do a lot when people get bullied. When I got bullied, and as a punishment, my bullies got sent to another school for the day to do work. That is equivalent to getting a detention like if you miss homework or something. This is a problem. I think Meden should do more to stop bullying, and do more harsher punishments to bullying someone. the teachers at Meden are lovely, some not so much, but most are lovely. Most people don't like maths or French, or any other "lame" subjects, but I assure you even though people may say "ugh this teacher is so annoying" , but they really aren't. you just have to get along with them. once you do, you will see a whole new perspective of your teachers, creating a bond which will help you learn and communicate even better. Overall, I think that Meden is a very nice school. thank you for reading my review!

-No jewellery allowed due to ‘distractions’
-Only allowed one piercing
-No trainers even if shoes are wrecked
-Expectation cards and detentions if you get four marks for doing literely nothing
As you can see from my bad grammar and spelling none of em know how to teach especially French teacher: shouts for no reason at students, no talking allowed even during tasks, and screams in kids faces.

Worst school ever
This school was hell no teachers listen all kids were ranked on popularity and it was exactly like old American schools on TV shows and they are ignorant to sexuality gender identities pronouns or disabilities and EXTREME bullying that never got sorted or certain teachers would say "boys will be boys" and "oh its just girls messing around" id recommend getting therapy before you start there so you can cope easier

teachers only care about you getting good grades, are barely qualified to deal with students and don't give a shit about your mental health or how you feel. don't care about bullying and yell at you for the dumbest reasons

terrible place, all the students judge each other and rank each other’s respect based on popularity. a lot of direspect towards each other and their bodies. many people having sex and getting pregnant at the age of 13! how are children supposed to learn when there are students changing into different genders every day and when there are french teachers who lose their temper at students after telling her they can’t see and the fact that teachers allow themselves to be disrespectful towards students but attack the students when they are disrespectful. they’re never going to learn if that’s all they’re seeing around school. needs to be changed!
