New College Leicester

I have been in this school now for about 2 years and it's great, I have literally got no words to describe the school's environment 👍 and I can see other people's reviews . They all say negative things about school and etc . First of all the school staff is bit strict but they are never rude .No one,Like literally no one from teaching staff or cleaning staff like literally everyone from my school staff has never rude to me They are always Nice . We are not allowed nose studs and I used to get angry cause of that but the reason behind this is to keep kids safe. So, basically if there is any fight between u and the other children 😕 they might 😢 try to take it and I know it may not sound right but the rule is made that someone won't be able to harm u even if they try . Education is quite hard but its good for u obviously because you got taught about things earlier than other 🏫 schools. You got taught what r u gonna learn about in ur next years and I am currently in year 9 and I have already got a visit to a university for my future because of my school and they even teach us how is your life going to be I college and I have got so much knowledge about university and college courses now and you even can get extra support and I am so happy to be part of new college . When I was new in the school 🏫 💓 I got bullied by that I mean there was a girl who would tell me to shut up even though I am not even 👄 talking , I never told her off because she had so many friends and her other friend started doing the same in DT And whenever our teacher comes near they started acting nice to me. But I stood for myself and I told them not to tell me to shut up instead they should shut their mouth and not talk to me.I told my teacher about this.I didn't told her what happened 😒 I actually said miss I don't like where I sit, Can I pls sit next to (___).She was nice enough to move me. But the girl that bullied me first her friend is actually my friend now as well and we do sometimes argue on little things but the school environment has changed and has became really nice 🙂 👌 and don't forget I I one of those nice students and I am I student parliament as well and I do help lots of students aswell.And If anyone is getting bullied Don't do what I did however do stand for urself and tell ur head of year or any teacher and if they don't help pls talk to anti bullying team and I am one of them,so we will be able to help you and the person who bullied u will go through .consequences

Terrible school my son was bullied for over a year and nothing was done. Teacher try to tell us our son got mental health issues instead of sorting the school. My son is scared to go to school, it's gone to a point where keeping him home without a school was much safer then sending him to new collage Leicester.
School have no communication one person will tell you one thing and 2nd will tell you a completely different story.
Don't send your kids there, specially if you are from minority ethnic background, avoid if possible

I’m gonna be honest , this is coming from a current student who is about to leave this school and start exams, I wouldn’t recommend coming here even If it was the only school in your area. The students are awful, I’m a trans student and despite their insistence that they’re a lgbtq+ safe school - it’s a complete lie. I’ve been bullied and harassed by both students and teachers due to my gender identity and they don’t do anything about it and they don’t care enough to stop it. They care more for their uniform rules than they do taking care of people being harassed, I’m going to share one of my experiences with a teacher for example. I’m a really shy person and don’t usually speak in classes, even if I’m chosen and if I do speak I usually can’t form proper sentences because I panic too much. Im in a math class with a couple of others students, really loud and obnoxious ones. I got asked a question one time and messed up because I was panicking and got yelled at by others in the class and called stupid, my math teacher instead of helping decided to ignore it. I’ve been insulted before by these students and honestly it’s just tiring to deal with on a daily bases. This same math teacher continuously tells others in the class they’re going to fail despite her simply being a terrible teacher. Not to mention I get misgendered by teachers 24/7. 4R’s? More like absolutely ridiculous. That’s one word beginning with R i’d use to describe your school.

this schoolisvery bad. as a current y11, staff treat us so badly, think were animals, even locking the doors at lunch deniing access from going toilet on out break.

Very really bad school they are strict and ur not allowed any piercings except one stud in each ear which i don’t understand and your only allowed natural hair colour’s if u want to die your hair.

i was attending new college since year 7 in 2019, i had a good time there u til the teachers started to racially profiled me and treat me like shit. they don’t care about childrens mentle health or what’s going on at home all they care about is if your ankles are showing. i was cyber bullied and also bullied at school. the teachers did absolutely nothing but say “inform the police because we can’t do anything about it” i was bullied for my skin colour and the way i act and dress. the school didn’t. provide any help when i was struggling with dyslexia they didn’t care i would not advise you to come to this school it’s crap. also children steal food from you and billy you!

This school doesn’t care about your wellbeing. Teachers are more focused on if you’re uniform is right, if your hair colour is appropriate and if you ankles are showing. They always brag about how important it is to attend your lesson but take you out and put you in detentions or isolation for the smallest things ever such a nose piercing or that your trousers are too short. I left New College 2 years ago when i finished year 11 and I’ve never been happier.

As a mum of a child that was at this school I feel like I have failed my daughter by sending her there my girl has been bullyed for two year non stop for her race for her hair being too big for her skin being too dark for being too tall for not wanting to have sex like most of the girls at that school I have been up to the school or on the phone to them most days and they do nothing to help

My child has been diagnosed with a heart condition the school will not put things in to place for her at all and the head of year 8 is an absolute joke she has stood there and let a gang of 20 kids surround my child and call her nasty names and push her about and the head of year 8did nothing

It got that bad that my child started to self-harming and then took a overdose we was in the hospital she was very sick and still is she is now under CAMHS to help her I have asked the school to help me get her in to a new school as they can do this for bad kids but I've been told they can't for good kids so now I have my girl at home with me all the time I will not send her back to somewhere that thinks it's OK for a child to be treated this way and as for the teachers they are a joke and should not be in that profession at all

This is school is alright in academics however they do not actually care about your mental health. They put me out of learning for a whole day just because of grey trousers, i had to sit there for 6 hours and being shamed by the students and the teacher did nothing about it. One time a person was racist towards me and guess what? All they did is give them C4. the damage has been done even if they told their parents it would cause nothing. The students are idiots, throwing water at me, taking peoples ties a lot of times. There is an english teacher at NCL that have favs and treat everybody differently. They also falsely blamed a lot of people. Bulling in this school is so common there are barely any teachers at the play ground. If you really want to enjoy hell, then go ahead and apply..

Honestly the worst. Teachers don't care about students well being, incredibly discriminatory to those who are disabled. teachers are horrible. refuse to help students with missing equipment unless they give personal belongings.

The school is absolute rubbish. Doesn’t care about anyone’s wellbeing all they care about is whether your hair is right, your uniform is right, wether you’ve done your homework or not. They never care about the reasons behind all of this.

Teacher’s are mostly unpleasant, patronising and uncaring. School is cramped and food is poor. Had little help from the school despite being bullied for almost my entire 5 years there.
