Don’t go to that school

Very bad school I went on a tour today and people were signing me not to come and students were barking and making weird noises while teachers shouting a lot, also a child called a teacher a fat s***.And the tour person told us sorry about the language and a teacher secretly said to teacher to go tell someone off for barking and she said it quitely so we can not hear what she said.

It's good

I am a student at this school and it is a generally ok school a hand full of teachers are not the best at teaching and like to make nasty comments a couple of times but the food is great quite expensive but still good a bunch of the students are really disruptive and nasty but there are many well behaved students and some really good teachers. The outdoor and indoor areas are really nice many students ruin them though.

NCS Student Review

Nicholas Chamberlaine School has improved incredibly since the current head teacher returned after some time away.

Most teachers are so dedicated to there jobs and do there best to help all of the students.

Despite this there are small amount of teachers who are unprofessional and some of their comments can be very upsetting.

Some students are very rude to the teachers and can be extremely nasty.

NCS Views & Opinions

I am an active student at Nicholas Chamberlaine School and have been at this school for a few years now. Throughout my time at Nicholas Chamberlaine i have been offered many opportunities and some of the include: A visit to Auschwitz, Natural History Museum in London and more! I am lucky to have been able to be part of the recruiting process for potential members of new staff by giving tours around our school campus.

In 2019, our school were able to be given a new £26 million pound PE building and learning facility building. Some students decide to take this for granted and litter around the buildings which is really disappointing as the building is lovely.

Some of the students are verbally abusive to staff and students whether that be homophobic, racist, transphobic and this isn’t dealt with very well.

The school have a range of different technicians and staff including a Dr of Classics in the history department and a Dr of Science in our Science department.

My favourite teachers all come from the History and Drama department. The head of Drama tries his hardest to make lessons enjoyable and exciting and never fails to do so.. In the history department there is a team of 4 staff currently who make lessons worthy of being in.. they can control the class, the teachers are supportive, they know their subject and are genuinely my favourite staff members!

I believe the vast majority of staff work in the best interest of the students and the school itself but some do not care and simply are at our school for money. Some are not supportive and do not bother dealing with troubles students might have.

In regards to the COVID situation, some teachers wear masks and some do not. Students don’t wear masks and like to use the sanitiser to squirt in their peers eyes. Now COVID restrictions have lifted things are improving but there is still in a issue with the behaviour which needs sorting by the appropriate member of staff urgently..

Thanks.

My View On NCS

Active student at this school. Been here for a few years and met lots of nice students and staff. 😄

The school tries its best to give students a good future and give good students nice opportunities to get extra learning.
Not really handling the COVID pandemic too well, students decide not to wear masks and there are no distance measures that are being pushed by them. They do try get students to wear masks but do not tell students often to clean their hands. Younger students decide to squirt hand sanitiser at each other (7/8s). 🦠

Toilets are quite often messy and filled with rubbish. One of the dryers in the Y10 toilets near the community doors stays on so you need to turn it on using a switch which is high up plus, using switches with wet hands isn’t the greatest move. ⚡️

Lots of students use fowl language and disrespect supply staff when they are trying their best to help the students. Fights including water soaking and verbal fighting occur outside the steam doors. 🤬

Despite all the bad things I have mentioned, most students are lovely! I decided to get the bad parts out first and head to the good parts afterwards. 🔍

I have amazing teachers teaching me, they make sure I am understanding the work set and always come back to help if there if there is still time! Sometimes I find my work tricky so I ask my teachers and they will always give me a push in the right direction! 👨‍🏫

There are a great range of subjects on offer, my favourite would be computer science because of the coding we get to do. I also like drama with my favourite teacher (who should be the head in my opinion*) There are other subjects like Technology, Art, Geography, Photography, Business studies, just to name a few. 🖊

Overall it is a great place to get educated and you can make some good friends! Despite the few flaws, I believe it is very nice and would recommend getting educated here! 👍

NCS School , Bedworth

Nicholas Chamberlaine School, Is a very average school. Since 2018, the school has had 5 headteachers, including 2 school improvers. The students treat staff like a piece of dirt on there shoe and it’s absolutely disgraceful. It seems like they don’t want to listen and don’t want anything to do with education. Some of the staff are nice but mostly rude and hostile. During the COVID Pandemic, students don’t wear facial coverings, mistreating hand sanitiser by squirting it over the classroom etc. When i worked there I had multiple students reporting bullying and the head of years not doing anything about this. MFL Department don’t offer a broad range of languages which is disheartening and would be nice to see more. Supply Teachers have no clue on how to work, they are verbally abused by students and 50% of the time are verbally abusive to students also. Some students are very warm hearted and I can see going very far in life. Live Lessons don’t work and students are posting very inappropriate comments in the streams but yet staff do nothing about it.

Thanks,
Mrs R

NCS School

Nicholas Chamberlaine School
i think Nicholas Chamberlaine is an average because currently in academic year of 2020/2021 i don’t personally think they are handling the covid-19 pandemic very well. Not many students are wearing face coverings, Students use the hand sanitiser that is in every classroom likes it’s a toy and squirt it everywhere. Since 2018 NCS has had 4 headteachers and after half term there will be a 5th. the two current head teachers are school improvers and are both lovely but the Senior Leadership team i’m not so sure on. Some of the teachers ask students for answers because they don’t know them themselves. also a select few of teachers say some negative comments to students which is disgraceful. But overall most of the teachers there are lovely. NCS is quite strict on mobile phones which means students are having to sneak them out and then risk getting them confiscated. There rules are strictly no phones out on premises. Most students are going to use them because there children. But what i want to question is are they even allowed to take the students phones during a global pandemic without parent permission? Lessons are brought to students amazingly by teachers but some students don’t think Education is a priority for their future. Recently there has been a new building placed and is absolutely amazing. it has its own technician lab, large cafeteria and very modern classrooms. Staff treat students with respect and kindness which is amazing. Nicholas Chamberlaine doesn’t offer a wide selection of MFL which is disappointing as it would be lovely for some of this generation to get involved in and too learn a new language.

Thanks
