COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY MENTAL HEALTG

NOT RECOMMENDED, suffered from chronic pain in year 12 and year 13, I was thinking of telling the school about the chronic pain but when I was in severe pain one teacher specifically look down and gave me a dirty look then another day I was in severe pain, she saw me in pain which she sacarstically said ArEe OoLKaYyy!!!???? IN A VERY RUDE TONE then the same teacher predicted me a E for UCAS and I emailed asking why she predicted a E despite I was working towards an C also I mentioned the wrong score that she noted down when I took the baseline test at the start of year 13 to help with UCAS predicted grades and she completely ignored my email even though I scored higher also on the day when she came to note down my score , she was smirking which made so uncomfortable also there was passive aggressive behaviour from that teacher. Then in year 13 I tried telling my form tutor regarding my condition as soon I started telling her about my condition she saidn" oh is it for one day then it goes away" while she was glaring at me and smirking at me this made me so uncomfortable and never went to form time in year 13. I wanted to tell about my conditions but every teacher seems not to care but my head of year knew and did not even bother helping me, only talked but did not care at all , did not even bother asking me why my A-levels grades were not moving up since year 12. In year 13 I eventually spoke to someone and provided medical evidence because I was so scared due to the disgusting behaviour, I spent 20 pounds on the medical letter, explained of how the condition started, the symptoms ect but the teacher would act if they did not knew at all. Whenever I asked for help I was ignored or given dirty looks.ONE ANOTHER thing disgusting behaviour from few male teacher particularly one tecaher that was socially unacceptable behaviour. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS SCHOOL, nothing was done to help me , mental health was destroyed where I wanted to end it all and laughed at.

Living hell

I attended NSG, and let me tell you… it was an experience I would not wish on my worst enemy.
First of all, the rules were unbelievable. I’m convinced the administration held weekly meetings just to invent new ones. You couldn’t breathe too loudly without someone telling you it violated the “learning environment.” The dress code? Basically a full-on survival manual: socks must be exactly mid-calf, hair ties must match your uniform, and heaven forbid you wear a sweater that’s 0.5 shades too dark. Teachers acted like students had no life outside school, assigning enough homework to power a small city. And somehow, despite all that, the Wi-Fi still didn’t work. Ever.

Social life? Let’s just say the school could’ve doubled as a dramatic soap opera set. Rumours spread faster than the announcements, and group projects were basically survival games.
Finally, the administration treated every suggestion like a personal attack. You could politely ask for an extra recycling bin and they’d react like you’d proposed setting the place on fire.

you could be in pain, collapsing, or metaphorically dying, and the response would still be, “Well… do you have a note?”.

Overall: 10/10 would escape again.

shitty school.

this school is a disgusting place for any child to have to have an education in. through my experience in nsg (2021/may2024) i have been severely bullied throughout my entire time at nsg while teachers were doing nothing about any of the situations at the start of year9 the situations started to get really bad and i taught myself i can’t let it happen to me anymore as teachers wouldn’t help. so i stood up for myself. the students whom caused it reported me as i was reporting them previously and i got in trouble.
this was happening repeatedly to the point where most days i wouldn’t go into skl (last 2 terms of me being there my academic year attendance dropped 20%). the teachers have extreme favorites and don’t help many students, school also has no care for students mental health. back towards my personal experiences 2 situations that happened which made it clear i wouldn’t be attending there anymore is when i was strangled at lunchtime and where i pulled the other girls hair to get out of it, i was put in isolation where as she was not. the second experience i will share which was on my last day, is being followed to the toilets and having your cubicle door banged on by people whom wanted to hurt to, to which i got put in isolation again. i highly recommend keeping your kids far away from this school.

NSG review

Its not a bad school, however there are some reasons as to why it is not the best. 1. Swearing: most if not all of the students swear. 2. LGBTQ+: over a quater of the students are in thos cominity which is not an issue, the issue lies where because of your looks you can be considered to be part of them and mistreated by them.

Overall, the uniform rules are not very strict and some of the teachers are lovely, other activities like culture day and school trips are also an amazing thing that just brings the school together. My final thing to say is stay away from the head of KS3, he has made almost everyone cry on my first year at the school.

I’m sorry but this the worst school ever I wouldn’t recommend coming here, When I went there my mental health got worst and the teachers didn’t do anything to help when I told them I was struggling!!! They never deal with bullying or Anything properly either!! So I wouldn’t recommend this school for your child!!!!

Former student at NSG 2017-2022

Teachers need to help students more and learn to notice when their students need support when I was at nsg I felt like I was being ignored constantly it was a good this I had a great friendship group. I will say there are a few teachers that are great. Over my time at nsg I grew a liking to a few teachers such as Mrs Green, Mrs Wilson, Mr Adams, Mr Armstrong and Miss Edwards. They made me feel like I have people to talk to.

Yr 7-11 good, but don't recommend 6th form

Years 7-11 pretty good. Years 12-13 terrible. I don't recommend the 6th form. Resources are minimal, still treated like children, dyslexia provision is non existant. School ethos is respect, but little shown to 6th formers who are still treated like 11 year olds. Regretting my choices.

Do not recommend

I went here for a better education as I had assumed it would be good since it’s a paid school but all I got was feeling depressed all the time. The teachers were ok, but in specific subjects constantly changed which disrupted learning a lot . There are many assemblies and activities about wellbeing and mental health but school causes a lot of stress by constant exams and force you to take either Spanish french or German . The food definitely isn’t worth what each student pays.
Overall you should probably pick another school :-)

Awful

School started blackmailing me and my mum with suing us while I was severely ill , provided 0 support for mental health despite it going on for 4 years , breaking many many laws including discrimination, attendance and bullying, one of the heads started insulting me to my face , wouldn't use preferred names or pronouns on my friends and overall have no respect for others

Not good.

Terrible school with disgusting teachers who don't have a single ounce of respect for people with any sort of mental health issues. Homophobic transphoic and overall awful people if you want respect don't go you won't get it.
