most awful school in swindon the teachers are useless say they are a no bullying school yet my brother has been bullied for months and i know multiple other children that have had the same problem and actually left the school….they don’t seem to care they ignore emails, phone calls and are more worried about if u are wearing some earrings or a nose stud 🙄 getting worse by the day the schools a disgrace DO NOT SEND UR CHILD HERE!!! Even abbey Park is better
This school is ok not the best but it has gotten better over the years but I don't like that some teachers are really strict and need to loosen up a bit and since I got my casts on today I'm scared to go back on Thursday since I have bullies at that school and I'm scared if they trip me up.

this school is so bad there is too much bullying and the teachers do nothing about it this school should be appalled of them self's i've read other people's reports and i agree with most of the bad ones you are way too strict you make your students miserable and underestimate the students knowledge like what do actually need from school it a waste of time and even more of a waste of time when it comes to nova i would never send any of my children to this horrid school other schools get their students to such amazing places compared to yours

A teacher thought it would be good to belittle my daughter today . Last day of term all because she didn't know what line to queue in. Shame on you Nova now she's miserable for her summer holidays which she was looking forward too.So thanks for that if she doesn't come back for yr11 on your head be it.

I just left this year so thought this might helpful. Teachers seem to be more concerned about how well students do in exams rather than the students own well-being. The school mental health councillor was fired a couple years back for some reason so there’s barely any decent support system for people struggling. There’s no regard for how the excessive amount of homework is having on students’ mental health. Uniform rules are way way to strict and unnecessary; you get put in isolation for having socks below the ankle. Food is almost always lukewarm and sometimes undercooked. There are only a small handful of teachers that aren’t only fixated on grades. As a music student, the performing arts department is horrendously under-funded. most guitars and drum kits are damaged in some way and haven’t been replaced for 4 years+ and the imacs are slow and unreliable (none of this is the teacher’s fault). Especially since COVID-19 hit, it has worsened. When we came back in september 2020 the one way system failed dramatically; as the months went on, there was no pushing the younger years to wear masks and i saw almost all of years 7-9 not wearing one. half our year was forced to self isolate multiple times so kisses out on vital parts of the curriculum.

Nova Hreod Academy is a school with a great community of students, teachers and other members of staff. Everyone is polite and respectful because that’s the Nova way. If you want to send your child to a school where the teachers and staff members truly care about your child’s education and well being then you can’t go wrong here. Nova has some of the most caring staff members who care about each and every student. The teachers are supportive and trust worthy. At Nova, the teachers have a way of making school fun and enjoyable for students, however this is not by messing around or by not following the rules, they make sure that the rules are followed all the time. They really connect with their classes and make sure everyone is involved. Nova can be strict, however it is strict about rules which are generally not that difficult to follow such as having the correct uniform or behaving in a certain way. I feel that the rules make Nova great when they are followed, I am proud to be part if Nova and part if such a strong community. I’m in year 11 now and have gone to Nova since year 7, every year I have seen the school constantly improving; I believe it will continue to grow and improve over the coming years. As well as the great community, the school building and environment is truly beautiful. For a start, there is little to no litter in or around the building and there are lots if communal areas. Every class room is well decorated and laid out ready for students to enter and get learning. There is plenty of space for socialising and activities. It’s really just an amazing school and I can confidently rate it 5 stars overall.
