My experience at Oasis Academy Immingham has been extremely disappointing. The school struggles with basic organisation, communication, and consistency across almost every level. Students often feel overlooked, unsupported, and more like numbers than individuals.
The teaching quality is inconsistent. While there are a few good teachers who genuinely care, many seem disinterested or overwhelmed. Lessons can feel rushed, unstructured, or lacking in challenge, leaving students either bored or confused. There’s little room for creativity, and academic progress feels more like a checkbox than a real goal.
Bullying is a serious problem at this school. Many students experience verbal abuse, social exclusion, and in some cases, physical intimidation. While the school claims to have an anti-bullying policy, it often feels like nothing is done when incidents are reported. Victims are left to fend for themselves while bullies face little to no consequences. This creates an unsafe and toxic environment for those just trying to get through the day in peace. The lack of meaningful action from staff only makes it worse, and students quickly learn that speaking up often leads nowhere.
Behaviour management in general is also inconsistent. Some students get away with constant disruption, while others are punished unfairly for minor things. The rules are unclear and enforced differently depending on the staff member, which creates an environment of tension and unfairness. It’s hard to feel safe or respected when the atmosphere changes daily.
Mental health and wellbeing are not taken seriously enough. Students who are struggling emotionally often don’t receive the support they need, and when concerns are raised, they are frequently brushed off or handled poorly.
The school talks a lot about values and ambition, but very little of it is actually seen in action. The focus seems to be more on appearances than actual improvements for students. For a school that should be helping shape the future, it feels stuck in the past and uninterested in real change.
Overall, I would not recommend Oasis Academy Immingham to anyone looking for a school that truly supports growth, learning, or emotional wellbeing. Until bullying is taken seriously, and real improvements are made in teaching and support, it will continue to let its students down.
absolutely shocking school, i’m lucky to be able to say i left with any half decent grades at all. so many fights, bullying was rife and just no sense of effective discipline whatsoever. when i left, the school had the highest number of unqualified teachers in the district. had two break ins in my time there, electric doors always broken, windows smashed. would never recommend the school to anyone. awful.
They bully students heavily and allow racism and gang violence. Am so angry that my son came home with a black eye and was crying FYI he never crys. Rot in hell u vile school.
