For child's sake do not send them here

I wish I could give this school a minus 10. But unfortunately I can't. I just hope and pray that some poor parents sendng their children here read this and send them anywhere else. Where do I start.. if your child has any issues I.e mental health/adhd/bullying they just turn a blind eye and brush it under the carpet or basically ignore you. Teachers being attacked. Students being attacked and a permanent ambulance or police cars parked outside due to violence. Violence that goes unreported as they don't want ofsted to know 🤫 The amount of children that have experienced violence in this school is unbelievable. The queue of parents waiting to speak to the head teacher is out the door at the end of the day. To be told you need to make an appointment and they will ring you back. Amazingly. They never do. One example. My child was being attacked by 8 different children and had to be locked in a room for their safety. The teacher was attacked in this process. All the head of year cared about was my child having her phone on to me because they were scared. Perpetrators got a day in isolation 😳😳Believe me. You would be better off sending your child to a school in Syria.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE

I was previously a student at “ oca” and had to leave in my last year due to crippling bullying that caused me to suffer ptsd, depression and anxiety that caused me to experience hallucinations (auditory and visual ) the teachers dispite telling me to go to them shooed me away in a very rude way which caused me to have trust issues. The bullying went on from year 7 right through to year 10 when I left, I got attacked multiple times on school premises and the teachers did nothing and I also got jumped by 6 people from the school, I got attacked verbally but parents of the bullies on school grounds and they also targeted my house and family I.e threatening my mum, vandalism of my property and so much more . I’m scared to got out and haven’t been outside without company in 2 years. I’m on the highest dose of antidepressants due to this school so please do not send your kids here if you want the to leave still sane. So much more happend but I can’t remember because of all the things that did happen. I have just completed my GCSEs in the garage academy which has helped me a lot

Bullying rewarded

If you are academic the school will live you. If any additional challenges they aren’t on the ball at all. It’s a constant battle to get support. They also reward bullies and even provide them excellence awards. The ethos seems to be that so long as grading well the bullies can get away with it. They also try to avoid the bullying pathway so don’t have to declare to offsted. Their website claims don’t live up to the reality.

worst school in halton.

teachers have fun making a child feel judged while they are in distress, teachers will gossip with the students about drama that's gone too far. teachers worse for gossiping than the students. teachers attitudes are disgusting. made my child feel as they had no one and no help and that they had no hope left. the only positive thing with nothing wrong with it was the school councillor, genuinely helped and felt cared for unlike the rest of the teachers in school.

Skirt lengths being checked.

Girls are now having their skirt lengths checked. I find this completely unnecessary and ridiculous. My daughter came home and told me this and she couldn’t remember why this has been put in place, but she heard someone say a member of the community complained about the students skirt lengths. How does that effect them? Who in the right mind would decide girls skirts are that short from a random school and decides to ring up and complain about it? (I don’t know if that’s really what happened just what my daughter heard) It’s absolutely disgraceful. I really would like to know the reason for this. It baffles me how girls legs being on show can affect their learning, if it is distracting any one they are the problem not the young girls. Teenage girls already have many insecurities and now they’re having grown adults telling them they’re skirt lengths are an issue. What has todays society come to?

Bullying not dealt with

Awful school, students are horrendously bullied , jumped and harassed with teachers full knowledge. A call to the parents is the only way they deal with it and nothing else they care about nothing but reputation and let their students struggle with bullying and do absolutely nothing about it.

Great for work nothing else

It’s ok, if you don’t work hard you won’t like it very much though, they expect so much and make us stay behind if we get 2 1/2 out of five on a Spanish test. Also cares about whether your phone is turned off as you’re leaving the school. Even in the car park they tell you to turn your phone off. Also fights aren’t handled in a great way nor bullying. They say “I talked to their mum/dad/carer” and it still continues. They also expect everyone to be friends literally don’t understand how young people work.

It's k,, I guess...

I mean the dinners are nice and some teachers are nice. We have lots of tech and equipment very good quality and stuff. However they don't deal with anxiety or upset anything like that very well and they care about things like whether you powered off your phone at 8:24 or 8:25 when there is more important issues they are by passing. They don't take bullying seriously and think it's just friendship issues😖
