Awful School!

I hate this school I get bullied by Harvey willingtonbarker everyday and the teachers do nothing about it they only care about the students getting high grades! It’s ridiculous! I’m appalled!

3 star

Its ok the only bad things about it is that the teachers are very strict if you r 1 second late they will give you a straight C4 and in class they dont let you speak at all which makes most lessons rather boring the good thing is the food is good and cheap and affordable for security they have a police officer which means if they is any fighting it will be reported straight to the police

Alright if you fit in

it’s an okay school. gets you the grades then gets you gone. it’s main flaws are in the their management of kids who are struggling, but behave well. the amount of asd/adhd kids that get lost in the oga system; being ‘missed’ and therefore not being diagnosed there is amazing. they only show you OGA sixth form, never organising open days at other colleges. the only kids that get any attention and rewards are the ones who act out so severely, and they ruin the experience for every other student. the act of punishing a naughty student by making them sit next to a quiet student, creates such a hostile, bullying environment.
It’s a great school if you can follow rules, have a desire and drive to learn and to be the best (as only the top 2% and bottom 2% seem to get any praise for their work), but if you’re neurodivergent, or different or LGBTQ (the bullying situation is awful). anything that doesn’t fit their mould of loud mouthed chavs getting 10 mediocre GCSE’s - it won’t be the place for you. As a result of this school, the bullies they favour and their restrictive atmosphere, it took me until year 12 to develop my own character and realise that I’m neurodivergent and had been stuggling academically for years. A few teachers are great and you can develop good bonda if you’re a decent person, but they forget to tell EVERYONE (staff and students) that respect is a two-way thing. If you’re not a rugby lad, a netball girl or incredibly smart/athletically talented - don’t bother.

The storybook school of nightmares

The school on a par with others is below what I’d recommend. It’s dirty, loud, poor at handling issues and downright dangerous. I once in year ten, had a boy pull a knife on a girl in my class to show off because he was high because we had a terrible teacher, nothing happened and he was allowed to continue his education at that school and in that class. We had multiple SA cases that were not dealt with well or at all. The school was disgusting, bathrooms especially, in my first year there was bloody tampons on the ceiling and boys smeared their own fecies across the mirrors. However, despite it’s downfalls there were some amazing teachers especially, I found, in the English department that made those five years of my life there a little more bearable.

bad but not the worst

average school, gets you the grades you need. as an occasional bully at outwood grange i’m sometimes shocked at how easily we can abuse other students and many teachers. mr watson is a good example and miss lee lollllllll and ofc bridog and ellis dykes mate hahaha sometimes it’s a bit sad though how far people can take it before actions are made, poorly managed school, biased but if ur a smart kid you’ll make it out alright. i recommend tbh

Avoid

Just don’t send your kids here if you love them at all

Don’t send your kids here

Disgraceful and shocking handling on bullying and mental health issues. Management only care about profits and reputation. Regular staff are decent and actually care about you but are unfortunately controlled by a bunch of selfish idiots. The only people that the management care about are the kids who will pass GCSEs if your not gonna pass they don’t wanna know.

Review For Outwood Grange Academy

As a fellow student, the teachers are sometimes very strict but on rare occasions you would find nice teachers. However, the hygiene of the canteen is very poor because you would find food on the floor, which would be stamped on. Furthermore, it is hard to make friends at this school because people are either mean, big - headed or they would judge you for the way you look. Unfortunately, the main issue is bullying because it isn’t handled properly. On the other hand, this school ensures that you will achieve your full potential and will aim for the highest grade you can get.
