This school wasn't good at all

The teachers care way more about there self and not the students when the students ask for help the teachers call there mum's, dad's, carers and such, to send them home and makes life harder on the students to reason with them.

The toilets are not right to be that disgusting hard to look at and all the gruesome stuff that happened in there.

The amount of bullying from students and teachers sexist homophobic and more

Leaving me to not want to get out of bed or want to go to school they did nothing but told my mum to quit her job and i stuck up for my mum i couldn't leave the bed let alone the house so thanks again for the stress you guys put me and my mum though.

The dress code is becoming stupid now my shoes and school stuff was apparently not enough for them there for me i had constant after school detentions that's why i was skiving detentions.

The food was disgusting they should do better my mum can do better and i can do better then the stuff they had I wouldn't do that stuff for a student if i had a school .

The teachers said they would do some stuff about me and my issues and they did nothing and all because this one boy had a good grade they can't interfere with that almost got the police involved because of it I was to drained out at that point so i wasn't having any of it nothing happened there for make the place unsafe for girls trans girls and boys.

The learning in classes was soo poor the teachers wouldn't help me especially in the IT room and maths teacher wasn't nice to me at all wood works as well the teachers wasn't listening to me.

Dont seem to care at all

Like I said in the title there seems to be so little care put in to anything. The whole school seems to care more about how it appears than how it actually is, for example the bathrooms in the main building don't have walls on the outside and if your looking at it as a parent / new student then that would look cool and modern but it actually means you have no privacy or room for multiple people to wash and dry their hands. Another thing is the canteen, it has large wood fancy furniture but there isn't enough room for all the students so the yr7 8s and 9s have to eat outside on tarmac in a large tent.

Mental health is also a really big problem (as it must be in other schools) and at first glance it seems they care so much about it but then you realise that it's all for show. When the school found out about my anxiety they made a school well being person come talk to me out in the hall (where other lessons were going on and could hear me talk) to speak to me about my worries about school. They saw me like 4 times not doing anything or really talking and then just stopped coming without warning just because I 'seemed fine'.

In classes some teachers scream at people for pulling 'funny faces' when they are just on the brink of tears or just have anxiety, and it makes it so much harder to learn. So many of the yr7s are bullied by the older years just for being new, for example I've seen people being pushed into bushes, shoved into mud and just general bullying. There is so much homophobia and racism, and yr 10 and 11s making horrible sexal comments around / to yr 7 and 8s. The clubs and activities are amazing though especially sport ones. Sport facilities in general are great but that was always going to be the case since the almost ex headteacher was a sport teacher. I hope the new one actually cares about the students though.

Sorry for ranting lol

READ THIS

the teachers don’t care. that’s the thing. they don’t. all the school cares about is numbers and no school can be ‘great’ only thinking about numbers. i, myself, struggle with my mental health especially after lockdown. the right teachers have managed to support me in amateur selves but overall have not helped at all… i’d go as far to say possibly made some things (especially anxiety coming to school) much worst.

some of the staff have no filter when it comes to students either, people get treated how you treat others. it’s simple; what the school doesn’t understand is if they treat pupils with respect they to will get respect.

it honestly seems more like the school cares about wearing the wrong shoes or to much makeup to even notice some of the much bigger problems that are going on. from vaping and smoking in the school or to excluding 5 girls who previously the week before had all made suicide attempts for allegedly vaping in a changing room. i personally know all the girls, there good friends of mine… from as far as i know, they don’t vape. yes they’ll have the cheeky cigarette when we’re out but we’re teenagers. it’s normal. what’s not normal is how far the school can take things with no proof. or how they don’t care over extremely serious situations.

2 girls were sexually assaulted by a student outside of school, one of the girls VERY bravely had the courage to say something and the teachers had promised her to get police involved. a month later and she’s heard NOTHING.

the amount of rude comments and bullying in the school is probably an all time new low, it almost seems as unless your screaming crying throwing up over something, they’ll just go on with there days. i (as a student) have whitenessed some absolutely vile comments being thrown at students or groups of students, racism homophobia and just point blank rudeness.

hopefully this review might make some changes in the eyes of the teachers because no one can cope with the high demand of what the teachers are asking for. life is really hard, students are stressed and anxious. think about how you deal with situations, your not right about everything.

Much needed improvement

It’s an alright school but never focuses on kids mental health.
