Pepperberry Day Nursery

For the time that I have worked at Pepperberry day nursery they have always seemed to have an issue with staffing. The room that I worked in was often left understaff one time the most I know that were we over was 9 children which was extreme. This has been a constant issue for the whole time that I worked there which not only was a major safeguarding risk for the staff and the children but often the manager would not bother to get agency or cover the staffing issue. Another issue that the nursery has is how the management and above i.e the director and the owner speak to staff often leaving them in tears. This is a horrible experience to have to witness and luckily I have not been spoken to like this but I have witnessed multiple seniors in tears due to their carelessness. Other issues that the nursery has is that they do not prioritise the children as they would rather you spend your time looking at a tablet to get daily observations regardless if you are in ratio or not. The children are cared the best they can be by the staff who always put the children first and subsequently spend their own money to provide decent activities for the children.
