you would be better off sending your kids to a prison camp

teachers are useless and couldn't care less to help anyone especially when it comes to understands students with special needs, bullying and harassment of students is just allowed from other students and teachers and the actual school itself is a dump that needs to be knocked down

gcse

there's no excuse

I was there for 5 years, I came out traumatised due to students who thought it was ok to assault and rape people and staff who didn't do their jobs and were afraid of the paperwork so let issues slide even if it was a suicide risk, self harm risk or even when I cried for them to help me when I was getting raped and tortured by a sick member of the rainford high "community", I came out of that school with self harm scars on my arms, legs, neck, face, stomach and ankles, I also came out with burns from a cigarette that was used on me by someone else on my chest, I have about 22 burns in total. this is a sick place and no loving parent should ever send their child there!! also if you were in the lower grade groups, they gave up on you, I don't think I had a steady science teacher ever while at rainford, I spent most my time in a place called the base, where I taught myself the curriculum faster than they could in lessons and I understood it, I even moved onto the higher grade material which I didn't even need for my gcses

Rainford high- pros and cons

Rainford high school:

Positives:
-Teaching is generally good
-your day-day teachers care about you and help you to succeed
-good resources e.g. knowledge organisers
-Clubs for KS3
-Generally good behaviour

Negatives-
-lots of pressure
-senior management add to student’s stress about exams
-weekly exams in every subject
-lots of homework (I do 5 hours a night)
-homework isn’t planned or regulated from subject to subject
-New rules every week (hard to keep track of)
-senior management are unapproachable
-mental health support is invasive and hard to get
-strict punishments (e.g. forgetting a highlighter once=detention)
-school food is sometimes uneatable (e.g burgers being raw)
-bullying is an issue

A mix of feelings

Not amazing but definitely good, considering the situation with COVID-19. The mental health help is not exactly great but it works.

Terrible school

Terrible school, filthy everywhere, bathrooms are gross. Teachers are horrible and rude

Rlly bad

It’s very messy and high rates of corona and I think it should be shut down as there is a very high risk of infection and teachers are very careless
