Not the greatest

Don't get me wrong, I like school but I think it's only because of my friends. The whole experience is average at best with points that are bad. The teachers are either really nice or horrible, and I find the way that they handle issues disgusting. For an example, someone in my class regularly reports other students falsely. The school are aware of this, but the student does not receive punishment for their lies, something the school supposedly really cares about. The same student actually made an openly racist comment in class, so my friend and I rightfully reported her, nothing was done. They weren't even told not to do it again, or why it was incorrect. This is why I have put the equal rights at one star, it's as if the school only listens to one side of the story.

I personally struggle at school, and so my parents are involved with a few of the teachers. I'm not going to go into any more detail than this, but again, it hasnt been handled well. It has been 2 years since my struggles began, if you will, and only now have the school put any kind of effort in to slightly figure out the situation.

Overall, I believe that the Redhill Academy truly focuses on academics, and not their students' happiness or issues. As mentioned, a lot of teachers are really kind and supportive, but the same can not be said about them all.

School is decent , very presentable , respectful students and everyone is treated the same.
Best teachers out of my own opinion is

GCSE

Not amazing, but probably the best in Nottingham.

Many of the teachers are fun, engaging and are actually good at their job. The small few terrible teachers are rude, lazy, judging and some even say very controversial things. Generally the grades are decent, but they put too much exam stress on students, and many of the rules are quite grankly bizzare. They're support staff for mental health are here and there, some good and some bad, but in general don't respect the mental health of their students.

Mediocre at best

Worst experience with mental health "support". Patronising mentor who clearly didn't know what he was talking about claimed he had "cured me" of my diagnosed issues. Felt more pressure than support when doing GCSEs. Managed to get good grades, but that was thanks to myself.

Pretty good.

I would not say that any secondary school is amazing but redhill is about as good as you're going to get in the area in terms of secondary schools. They do have dedicated staff and decent facilities. Plenty of students are rude and unpleasant (although no more than any other secondary school) but the school is good at dealing with them and have a good system in place. With Covid they may not be as good as they should be but that's not to say they brush it off, they simply struggle to separate students in different bubbles and making sure everybody who needs to isolate, does.

Redhill :)

I don't like it, they don't help mental health and my brother is high risk, someone recently tested positive in my year and i'm still being told to come to school despite this.
