Joke of a school tbh
School won’t do anything about racial abuse or bullying altogether, had a girl tell me to hang myself and she didn’t get any consequence. Some of the staff there shouldn’t even be allowed around kids. Or a fork.

At oasis I have faced being bullied multiple times but the teachers have not done anything about it. There are year 7students vaping yesq... Vaping in the toilets and outside the school, you get a detention over silly things such as forgetting homework speaking of homework we get 4-6 homework a week there is lots of pressure on students from teachers when the teachers hear about bullying the put them in a detention of isolation and I don't think that's enough. The school toilets are horrible absolutely minging, they smell horrid, speaking of toilets students need a toilet pass and they can't go to the toilet unless they are given one they also won't let us to home when we feel sick they say they can't help us until they are physically sick upfront of them

Former student. Terrible school. When your clearly being bullied teacher turn a blind eye and don’t do anything about students harass others in lessons. Rats all over the school. Terrible cooking I had a piece of chicken in my custard once. People destroy the school often and there are lack of resources. Teachers basically losing it on a daily basis. At one point my music btec option had to be replaces with extra English lessons. If you even slightly care about your kids don’t take them here. It is not worth it at all.

there's not a lot of help given to those who need it. if a student is acting up I out of the blue they won't take the time to sit with them and ask what's wrong or why they are acting this way, they just go right to giving them a half an hour or 1hr detention or so on. there's help for mental health but the staff dont seem to consider much of it, they only give a call to your parents if they see any evidence such as someone hurting themselves, there's not much done at all. if youre having a bad time and need to get out of lesson to gather yourself you will most likely be told no and if you just go because youre realy struggling, you will get a detention. sometimes something is done when you need help, some staff come to help whereas some don't, it's a bit of a mix in the school and classes. the students there don't realy have care for the school, alot of the time because the school and staff don't have care for them, sometimes because they are just low standard students. if you are late to lesson by just a few minutes or late to school even by 1 minute, you will get a 30 minute detention. if you argue with this then it will most likely be up to 1hr or even 2hr heads detention. although the school. say they are improving and some things have improved throughout my time being there, only after 5 years did they improve, and there is still a lot to be done.

Teachers don’t really give a damn if you tell them that you, a friend or a classmate is being bullied or made fun off. They’ll force you to do PE even if you’ve got a valid reason not to like fasting or when you’re not felling too well. And most of the time teachers don’t even come to you if you’ve raised your hand for some help, they’ll look at you and see you’ve raised your hand but they’ll literally ignore you and go to someone else. Wouldn’t recommend🙄

Food is sometimes poor too, with the chicken they offer being very manky.
Toilets are a joke, sometimes not monitored, and are extremely dirty. Piss everywhere, no soap at all.
Teachers have to be stretched thin trying to monitor areas, and most of the time dont do anything when witnessing bullying and such. Students get away with vaping without being caught.
Some teachers are extremely disrespectful too, shouting without reason at them, addressing them poorly, being dismissive/belittling alongside general lacking of manners. Teachers like Mr. Edwards have even threatened to "fight" a year 7 student, when he asked a student if they wanted to fight him as he mistakenly clapped out of rhythm in a PE dance lesson exercise in the 2022-23 year. School also has a punish the majority culture, even if they disclose in assemblies that "they know a minority amount of students" and not the "majority" and they praise them for that but still punish them for things they didn't do anyway.
Pastoral teams are extremely poor too, and are lazy in most cases. They usually punish the wrong students, and most of the time it's either too strict or insufficient punishments for the things they supposedly did. Many of them have favouritism too.
Security is generally poor, many students can assault students without intervention for some time.
The "On Call" system is flawed, with many students that genuinely need to be sent home being put onto the system ignored and not even being spoken too or seen. My brother broke his ankle is year 10 infront of a teacher, which then proceeded to laugh at him. When he went directly to the student services he was dismissed quickly, with them stating "You would be crying in pain." On my own intervention day, I sprained my ankle, in a hole on the backyard. I was not even seen by the teachers on the "On Call" system.
There's a generally poor culture around the school, with a large amount of bullying, shaming and belittling.
Environment is extremely poor too, most of the time being dangerous. The backyard is extremely slippery in certain areas, the grass pitch is extremely damaged, the mugger can be slippery too.
