Teachers are the biggest Bullies

If you want a School for your Child where the Teachers Bully and Intimidate the Students then you have come to the right place!
I have never met a bigger bunch of absolutly disgusting Human beings in my life! And Tracey Savage, the head teacher, is the worst of them all!
If you think I'm exaggerating, then do yourself a favour and look up the parents pages on Facebook and see what other parents are saying. Better still go to the School and approach the parents and have the discussion with them.

sandwich tech

that school is rubbish, pile of poo if you ask me!.
I would rather send my children to schools like Goodwin or royal harbour.
Tracey savage seems to care more about the pay check then the actual pupils that attend the school.
take my advice and don't send your children to this school

sts is shit

i fucking hate the school i hate it so much, i have to go there and all that happens to me is bullying, harassment and much more. cant even go a day without getting insulted like shit. head of year ( 8 ) sucks fucking ass like they just sit there all day and dish out detentions. we all get blamed for something we haven’t fucking done like what the actual fuck. like i don’t know how i wake up every morning to know that my day at school is just gonna be the same over and over again - it’s constant bullying and fights. they’re ruining the school like even trying to change the fucking school day schedule? what the FUCK? it’s just gonna piss off the kids even more like who the fuck do you think you are ruining the school more than it already is? you don’t even look after it for gods sake, let alone head of year doesn’t do shit about bullying like you go to them crying and they just sit there and go " well friends have arguments 💀💀 " LIKE SHUT UP.

Special educational needs stay away!

Absolutely awful school. Discrimation against any additional needs. Moved my son from this school as they could not cater for his needs and failed to identify additional needs due to his disability.

Do not send your child to this school if you have a learning need. Did not help at all

A detailed honest reailty of St's (read if you want to attend/parent)

STS often felt like it prioritiesed the wrong things. like many other reviews uniform was often put over welfare and the education of students with the additional lack of acknowledgement for its excessive price. if you had aditional needs you would often be disregarded and not supported properly. I had a friend who had to deal with severe dislexia all throughout his school life with 0 support only to go to a new school in year 12 and instantly get a test and amazing support that he really needed. Grades are also prioritiesed over welfare and the quality of teaching was often inadequate with an exception of a few teachers. from year 9 to 11 I did not have a biology teacher to teach me my GCSE's despite desperately asking for one. unsurprisingly our entire class did very poorly despite being the top set, we was also heavily balmed for this. this was due to the lack of teachers in the science department and I was told by one member that all staff where underperforming significantly. do not go hear if you like/want to do science. Additionally I had an openly rasist maths teacher who would continously bully and belittle students. he would target people for there height, looks, hair colour, gender (he was misogynistic ) and often made comments about the working class and people on benefits saying they was lazy and useless. one incident he made jokes about autistic people which was incredibly dehumanising and my classmate left the room as she was so hurt by what he said as she was autistic. I repeatedly asked for him to face repucussions from my heads of year and was told he wouldn't due to the fact he got students high grades. I was also told by members of staff that this bullying would extend to teachers also. Bullying was also a problem at this school and I certainly had my fair share, initially support was given but it will soon stop and there are never any repurcussions. All supply teachers where very unbothered and would often not complete the tasks set by teachers, there was several periods of time when I had supplies for weeks so I would essentially get no education for those periods of time. drug/behavioral problems where mainly ignored except for when oftsed came and suddenly everybody was excluded, they would not support or help these students who did need it. Classes where often overcrowded as they continue to enroll more pupils each year despite overgoing the capacity. The sex/health education was also incredibly poor and very uninclucive, I had many questions which where left unanswered and protraid it very unrealistically.

despite this if you are artistic the art department is exceptional, all the staff are bitllaint, enthusiastic and lovely and have your best interest at heart. there are challenges at times with resources with the general art but I don't belive this extended to textiles and certainly didn't in photography. Although I wasn't sporty the optunities seemed very good.

also I apologise for the many spelling mistakes I have dislexia and also received no support. Ultimately I did well at this school through a lot of hard work and at times very independently.

Bad school

Absolutely terrible school! Lots of bulling which the teachers ignore or blame the wrong child. Head of year 8 is useless, arrogant with no empathy at all. Bullies get away with everything and teachers say the kids are as bad as each other without trying to find out the truth, there are cameras which teachers don't bother looking at and won't let parents access so why bother having them. My child was assaulted by an adult connected to a pupil at the school and guess what they tried to say it was my child's fault, disgusting don't send your child here!!

Ex student

I use to attended this school, the teachers are unprofessional and sometimes known to wind up and aggravate students in their time of need, the head cares more about uniform than meant all health and students, the cafe is overpriced to many student go the day without food, counselling is poor and gives very little support, they don’t take bulling or problems seriously, I got marked down on my GCSEs because the teacher didn’t look in my work book for my work! Overall poor experience and very happy to of left

Okay school

It is okay but being a student there is a very different how it can be described than if I was a parent
Moast complaints rarely happen unlike how they are seen but all prices are insanely high (uniform and food) but the cookies are rly nice busses to and from school are always very overcrowded teachers do care more about what your wearing and how you’re wearing it than educating the students but I have had some really funny classes

It is okay

I currently attend this school and it is not good nor bad. It has a lot of requirements to meet for it to become absolutely amazing, including actually supporting their students. There are some good things, such as the food and the outdoor space as well as the fact that all the aspects of the curriculum are taught. Sometimes it can be difficult to learn in the environment they provide, such as some classes may have more students than the capacity can hold or some teachers may not be able to teach correctly/control the class. Usually the overcrowding gets better as you progress in age due to students picking their gcse options. The core subjects are usually taught well, same goes for the ebacc subjects (core + geography, history and language as well as pe). I have a physical disability and Sandwich Tech is very accepting of this. I had a bit of a fight at first but once my family and I provided proof, they willingly helped with everything I needed. If you have any disability this school would definitely be good for you. There are obviously some bad things, such as most Head Of Year's are not good at/do not deal woth or resolve bullying at all, the uniform is ridiculously expensive as well as the policies on it are... extravagant to say the least. The only other thing is they care about grades way more than anything else- if they as a school do not look as good as they could, then they will have a problem with it. I remember when I was in Year 8 I went to my Head Of Year to see if there was anything I could do to ease my stress and all they told me was to "stop overthinking". You can see as a 13 year old how much this did not help, at all. Overall, I would still say it is a good school but there definitely are areas where they could improve- just like all schools.

Worst school

Wouldn’t recommend, teachers are unprofessional and feel unqualified. The rooms are very small and squashed. The head cares more about your grades then your mental health. Very unsupportive and didn’t tolerate bullying in the slightest. They do not care about you here

Horrible experience

Maths department is terrible, the math rooms stink of urine and are always too hot so the stench is even worse

Poor school

Absolutele sh*t, im an ex student and they could not control the students and half of the teachers didn't even know what they was doing!! The head mistress cared more about what you was wearing than your actual learning. Such a poor school, and wouldnt recommend it. The art department and the history department are by far the most supportive. English, maths and science is a let down to be honest. The school needs to focus on actually supporting the kids, making sure they're safe and not bullied, and making sure they are actually getting work and are doing it. They let the kids walk all over them, when I was at this school, I couldn't even hear the teacher nor learn, and it really let me down in life as I was really trying.

It's wholesome and worth it

Really supportive staff. Good experience and good teaching. Only downfall can be how some students act but really it's pretty good.
