I worked at this school as an agency worker, and it was an absolutely horrible experience. Some staff members displayed racist and rude behaviour, and children from ethnic minorities, particularly those with SEN, were treated very poorly. There are also serious concerns about the lack of safeguarding across the school. The head teacher should be ashamed of how the school is being managed. On top of that, one particular woman in the office was consistently rude and unwelcoming. I would never want to work in such a place again, and I am genuinely relieved to be out.
This school is part of the reason the system for send children is a mess.
They contribute to it. They run a cult not a school. Head teacher does not know what she is doing. Staff are rude. Set expectations too high
Absolutely horrid school. As former student i have experienced and seen bullying, racism at this school.St Matthews has a clear distinction of favoritism for those who were sporty and won medals.Education is clearly lacking as the school relies more
on learning at home then their teachers.Although I have to say the activities are pleasantly nice(for those who can afford them).
absolutely disgraceful place the staff are horrible to my son and a employee yelled at me and and the he food made my son and my son got bullied and he was crying when picked him up shocking
Unfortunately a culture of bullying and intimidation from some members of SLT means some members of staff can’t/ won’t speak up for their children.
Don’t believe OFSTED. Some staff are VERY deceptive and skilled in delivering certain (mis) information.
